Cubase problem hehe

I got this problem.. i layed out a basic "boom tze boom tze" beat with wavs.. and my synth running on top..
and somehow the drum seems to be delaying by like 0.000001 second or something like not exactly on spot but not like totally off.. but just that i dont feel comfortable with.. I wonder why? coz everything is align with how the synth goes..

weird

Is this synth sound sampled down to your harddrive or is it running thru midi?
It can also be that your drumloop/drumsample has a 0.00001 sec quiet part before it really starts. Zoom in and check...

or you can put the drumtrack at the very top of Cubase.

As strange as it may sound this is a general rule:
the parts on the top sequence tightest, the parts on the bottom sequence the worst qua timing.

So put you drums on top, and pads and the likes (that require less tight timing) on the bottom.

This has to do with how software sequencers process data, before sending it as midi out data.

This is for external gear, I'm not sure however if it also effects softsynths, and if it does, to the same effect.

Where have you heard/read about that?

On the Dutch Synth Forum (http://synthforum.twin-x.com)

it's in dutch soo no good for u I guess

I don't know where whoever posted it got it from, apparently some guys ran a midi file through some....thing that showed exactly the timing of the separate midi events.

..

I've checked the samples.. they have a good cut which has no delay at the beginning before the sound starts..
