I wont say the BEST cos bowlers like Mcgrath is/was more effective then him. But he is a super spinner no doubt and he is THE BEST in his class.

i thought we were talking PBA bowling ...

then i would disagree and say Pete Weber is the best bowler . . him and his "finishing move" after every strike.

yeah thats what people say, its boring. Well i only watch cricket when aussies play cos they play the game with skill.

Anyways, as for my country hosting the 2010, you should come visit S.A and see what a joke this country is. They wasting all the fukin money in changing names of places, building a train no one but the fukin criminals are going to use. I think the venue might be changed last minute. lets hope you guys in europe get it again.

there's 3 great spinners in our age, Warne, Murali & Kumble. Vettori, Harbajhan, Saqlain & MacGill get honourable mentions.

Fast Bowlers, well theres McGrath & Pollock, after that Vaas is very good. England have some great bowlers now, but i saw the mid-end careers of Walsh, Ambrose etc & think most have a lot to do to live upto that.

no.

Warne yes. I agree with sikrav (which is somewhat scary in itself), Warne is the best bowler the world has seen. His brain for cricket is just phenomenal, I seriously doubt he is ever out of ideas and he has outsmarted every batsman he has ever bowled to. He is preobably as good now as he has ever been, the two year "rest" he had was probably one of the best things that has happened to his cricket career as since then he has seemed reinvigorated and has bowled a hell of a lot better than he did for the 18 months beforehand.

Pollock is good but not great. McGrath is great true, but Warne is far ahead. Murali is a chucker, the ICC has changed the bowling rules what, 3 times to accomodate him? You cannot seriously watch his action and say that thats a proper action.

The sad thing is that MacGill is probably the second or third best spinner in the world today, and could have been such a massive icon of this game (although not to the same extent as Warne) had Warne not existed. Playing for any other country MacGill would have played 100 tests and taken 400 wickets by now. I actually feel sorry for MacGill for he is such a talent but has the misfortune of playing in the same era as Warne. Just look at his stats playing with Warne or also in the 2 years that Warne didn't play, MacGill is more than just a reserve for Warne.

I agree, but I think that the murali issue is weird. Whatever his action, he bowls some demonic balls. My dad's an umpire & cares more about Shoaib Akhtar who he believes the icc are afraid of. Watch him play now, he always wears longer shirts to hide his action, but because he's pakistani they won't touch him. We recently played a test match with a pakistani player who was under report & they allowed him to play, yet when an english bowler (kirtley) got reported he was suspended until cleared. Macgill is great here on live commentary in the 20/20 as he bowls. they spent one over 2 yrs ago asking him what ball was coming & on one he said 'an absolute peach mate' and it was a high full toss reverse swept for six

I don't think anyone can argue that Don bradman wasnt the best cricketer ever, and i think shane warne is slightly better than murali...although he chucks it.

But shane warne is also a character. who can forget his Sms scandals, his "cant bowl cant bat" comments and his advanced hair regrowth lol.

And anyone who thinks tenpin bowling is good is a loser. And yeah i don't know cricket is just relaxing to watch.

Definitely!

in terms of spin bowling there has been no other player which has instilled fear into the opposition like Shane Warne. He is the Bradman of bowling undoubtedly.

Mcgrath is probably the best Australian bowling attack has now in my opinion. Warne is a tuff spinner but I feel he is not as consistent as Mcgrath is.

In the India vs. Australia games I have seen, its Mcgrath who has always created problems for Indians. Warne usually is easier to handle except some times.
