MTV can suck my ( ( )

Im in a shitty mood today and this has bothering me since i was 12 (23 in april )

But MTV and RADIO have fucking obliterated music in America. As if we don't have enough fucking problem with Bumpkin Bush as our president. i gotta smoke 15 feet away from public buildings n shit. The cops keep hasslin me for nothin. *takes Zoloft*

Anyways, first off. they show commercials i think ever 2 and a half minutes. They enjoy playin 1:00 segments of songs i dont want to hear anyways. Then theirs THE REAL WORLD which is the least REAL thing ive ever seen in my fucking life. Nothing about it appeals to me. It only pisses me off.

Im i alone? And is mtv in other countries any better? i think theyre global right?

and what the hell happened to the TA post SpellChecker!?

Mtv is too commercial. They will only play music that is pop. Even if they have to sacrifice quality. Mtv aims at the larger section of the crowd.

If you want to hear good music, you have to search for it. It's rewarding when you find something you really like. But you have to look for it as if it were a treasure. Tracking treasure down.

You can't rely on TV for good music, at least in the US, I don't know about the rest of the countries. Actually that's not entirely true. Swedish Egil had a TV show a while back. It was a good one. Anyway, TV is not a good source for music, specially MTV.

MTV, in case you haven't noticed, is no longer interested in presenting music. Don't watch it. Just don't.

As for radio, there are some good Saturday night shows in the area where I live. So radio is not so bad here.

So if my opinion is agreed upon you and everyone i know how in the hell does it stay on the air. It utterly disgusts me.

MTV isn't for music anymore... you need to watch MTV 2, MTV Hits or preferably FUSE if you actually want Music Television....

The #1 reason I hate MTV is that they had to create another channel to withhold their title as music television.

MTV + China =

Mainstream media is dead...

...it will no longer be relevant going forward. With all of these online television networks and radio stations popping up with the same quality content but less fluff; MTV won't have a leg to stand on. That is why they are pushing Overdrive so hard; because they know their users go straight to the computer and not the TV!

I stopped watching mtv back in 1998

And the real world is WAYYYYYYYYY beyond the 8th season now.

It's like season 13 or 14 by now

You have to give MTV props for sharing the glory that is 'Zig & Zag' with the world, though. Although it is a thing of the past, it shouldn't be overlooked.

Just avoid anything affiliated with MTV. MTV2, as well, is starting to move away from actual music videos, I hear. If you want to get good music, turn off the TV (hell, do that whether you want music or not) and find the appropriate internet radio site.

Ya it Blows. Mainstream culture in North America is fucking lame. And In Canada we basically just re-run American shit so it's the same deal up here.
