does anyone have anything of value to say?

If you don't know what you are talking about don't suggest DJs who may or may not be french, it's just a waste of everyone's time

I have a bunch of Stephane Pompougnac albums. Its more downtempo (Cafe Del Mar type stuff) though than straight up House music, but I've always been really broad w/ my def. of house so I thought I'd list him anyways. He's done a few of the Hotel Costes complations which are def. French, as the Hotel itself is in Paris I believe.

pretty much anything by Lifelike

some of Sebastien Leger's stuff has some heavy french sound influence

Alan Braxe

Fred Falke

even Jupiter Ace to a point

while we're at it....take your pick of any producer from N. Ireland....they seem to be re-inventing the frog sound for some reason

Morjac

Martin Solveig

...that should get you started

Actually Jacques Lu Cont a.k.a. Les Rythmes Digitales a.k.a. Thin White Duke isn't French. Some of his monikers are and he even went so far as to do interviews in French with an interpreter he was just born in Paris and his family are all from the UK and he grew up there.

Posted by Ry Diggs on Mar-24-2006 10:53:

ya he's from Reading in England
