Ok, im an idiot.
I've got a cd (set), that is broken up into individual tracks.... when i try to merge it, and convert it into one track (to host as a set), its coming out with split second gaps.
1.) how can i prevent this ?
2.) what program do i need ?
hjsplit! msn me!
1) are you ripping into mp3 format and then putting them together? When you rip a mix cd into mp3, you will always end up with those gaps.
Suggestion: rip in wav, and use HJ Split to put it together. Just name the same, with the .001, .002. 003 file extension.
You can use CDex to rip the tracks into wav.
All free ware
Ive been using both programs for years.

Ripping track to a Compressed Audio file (Thursday, March 23, 2006 20:43:18) to file C:\Documents and Settings\Dbutton\My Documents\My Music\MP3\Sean\_ _ _ no title\01-Sean.001.wav
thats what its saying in the file info.
oh my god your such an idiot
When in doubt, Just .zip or .rar all the tracks and host that.. let the other end deal with it.. Personally i find myself these days splitting sets into tracks.
