~*ISOS 5*~ What do you think ?!

Ive got some of Tiesto's ISOS5 as listed in his Traclist that was sent to all of the members on his site & I must say he has definitley changed his style of music, but I still think most of them are nice...I approve of his taste in music no matter what!! What do you guys think about the ISOS5 (if you've gotten a chance to hear some of the tunes that is)

Posted by Spirit5 on Mar-24-2006 05:42:

Not another "what do you think?" thread...we have enough of them on here..... you approve of his choice no matter what? DJ Worship??? I admit the tracklist does look nice (even though I haven't heard like 80% of the tunes) but you like him not matter what? what if he played Cascada's "Everytime We Touch" ?? you'de still like him? Just because it's "Tiesto" playing???

EXACTLY! +1 these people worship their DJs like they are GOD! they aren't! Tiesto is more of a performer these days anyways, the "Britney Spears" of trance DJs.

You could also compare them to say...Bush supporters, who support him no matter what. But I don't want to get too political with this, but it is a comparison.

OKAAAAAAAY woah, slow it down people whats up with everyone thinking whoever that approves of a dj is a WORSHIPPER ???? c'mon im not one of those obsessed freaky girls who doesnt understand music, ofcourse it matters what he plays but so far ive liked all the songs he's played at his concerts or in his collection of In Search Of Sunrise's..I meant to say that EVEN though his style has changed a loooot (and im talking about years ago starting from 1999-2000) I still approve of his taste .......

Because you acted like one, saying "I approve of his taste in music no matter what!!" that really came across as a DJ Worshipper, and those people need to cool it down and quit acting like teeny boppers. Tiesto isn't god, he isn't even that great of a DJ or a producer, he's just been hyped like you wouldn't believe. I used to be a big Tiesto fan, until I saw him get too big, and his ego exploded. I was a DJ worhispper once, until I saw the light at the end of the tunnel and realized how stupid it is. You don't have to be "those freaky girls who doesn't understand music" to be a Dj Worshipper, you say things like "I approve of his taste in music no matter what!!" now that comes across as a DJ worshipper....

Heh.. I tend to say he's the Yanni of trance, but to each their own.

f2d: Would you still enjoy Tiesto's taste in music if he still played gabber?

Posted by forever2day on Mar-24-2006 06:11:

Thank you SPIRIT5, I completly understand what you're saying. My bad, I didnt think thats what people would think by me saying that , lol. Yea, I used to worship him as I mentioned BACk IN THE DAY when he just started becoming popular (after the innercity 99 especially)..anyway, lets get back to ISOS5 now hehehe

why would you say hes the yanni of trance? yanni is a damn maestro.

tiesto has an engineer hired to make/build sounds and tiesto picks which one to use.

"go back and hit that key again. oh wow. write that down. how did you do it? ok now hit the black key on the right! wow amazing, it sounds magikal"

All of the members of his site received an email a few days ago with his tracklist, you can go on his website too & check it out.

It's more about the disgusting smile both have on their faces 24/7, I'd think.

Posted by Sykonee on Mar-24-2006 09:07:

Actually, it's more the concept of their concerts. Of course, Yanni at least plays the damn synth.

I heard about this, and is it really true?
I'd love to see a video of it!

Posted by Col on Mar-24-2006 16:34:

Well this was quite possibly the least predictable ISOS tracklisting to date, so I'm impressed thus far.

Posted by arcadia190 on Mar-24-2006 18:42:

that post needs to be made a sticky. not because it's +that+ important, but just so we don't have 1000 more threads like this one.

Posted by Dj Smitty20 on Mar-24-2006 23:31:

I had a brief period where I "worshipped" Tiesto but that's over. He can be a great dj and I've always had fun (though substance induced) at his parties in Toronto and Montreal. I'll see him again no doubt when he promotes ISOS5 in the spring or summer here in Ontario.

I have heard only two tracks on the forthcoming album. The Karen Overton tune, as well as Ozgur Can's Irony. I didnt' like either of them. But i'm very curious about his slight leaning toward the housier end of things.

Posted by tart777 on Mar-24-2006 23:53:

I think it'll rock. It'll be trance w/ some house/housey tracks too...which shall be good!

I'll be buying it the day it comes out for sure.

Los Angeles

Posted by forever2day on Mar-25-2006 00:56:

Its pretty nice

I really like the Cassandra Vox - Little Bird track & Way Out West - Dont forget me. You can tell I love vocal songs hehehe

Posted by Dj Smitty20 on Mar-25-2006 01:00:

I think it's kinda lame he named the CD "Los Angeles". Come on Tiesto...lol, he already made Magik 7 Live in Los Angeles. Call it California or something...or just leave it at ISOS5. Whatever, it's just a name but it's not an original one.
