i reeeeeeeeeeally liked MIKE's set. havent been to a good party since ultra spin..

It was a night like that which makes ditching my friends and my girlfriend (which I always blow off and never see anyways) worth it!!!
Full review & shout outs after I shower, watch tv, jerkoff, play tetris worlds, get some restless sleep for 3 hours, then wake up and crank down an energy drink. 
Oh.. one thing. NADA YOU RAPED THE DANCE FLOOR!!!

Oh man.... first off, I want to apologize to anyone I didn't say bye to before leaving.
Incredible, incredible night.... M.I.K.E. threw down yet another spectacular set, filled with classics and current floor killers. More to that in a minute....
The night started off great at Fire & Ice for the little pre party get together. Big shouts to Mahan, Alex, Mike, Sasha, Drew, Dannie, Fahad (Happy b-day man
), Tyler, Max and finally Kristina... the newest TA
and it was a big pleasure spending the night with all of you. Good times for sure guys, and the cake was superb.
Once everyone had arrived at the club, we walked in to hearing chiclet playing some nice beats. All the TA's were up in the V.I.P. area just doing their thing, patiently waiting. Key was up next... boy, awesome job man! 90% of the set was just bangin angin'!
And then, on he came. Around 2:45, M.I.K.E. just hammered out track after pounding track. He was doing an excellent job of working the very enthusiastic crowd with big time basslines and had a sense of either pure electro or melody (lots of strings) to the majority of the tracks. Some of the notable tracks I can tell you were played go in no particular order....

For those of you who don't like my story-telling:
Music: 9/10
M.I.K.E. gets 12/10 but my mood was totally off for the whole start of his set because of the Z103 fucking SHIT that the resident DJ was closing his set with...holy shit I have NEVER heard Gino beats since there used to be a Gino Fahad back in 1999/2000. The start/middle was good but the end was so bad, it totally turned me off. I could have sworn that with one of the closing tracks, I saw M.I.K.E. look at the DJ with this shocked and disgusted look on his face! but that could be totally out of context; I just really wanted to point out how much I hated the ending of that guy 
M.I.K.E.'s tracklist was amazing as usual!!!! I really <3 this DJ!!!!
One of the highlights for me: At the end of the night, I went up to say thank you and as he shakes my hand, he remembers me from dancing right in front of his booth and fanning all the people around front and centre, and he thanked me for it!!!! WHAT A FUCKING COOL INDIVIDUAL!!!!!
Also, Chiclet was amazing. Some wikked tracks that I've never heard before. And it was cool having Drew standing next to me and explaining Chiclet's style and how she has to tone it down to suit the lighter taste of the general crowd, and how the scratch is her signature move... every aspect of the music was excellent tonight!)
Crowd: 9/10
Normally the only crowd that we TAs have to deal with are the people in our way as we walk from front and centre to the bar and back. Or to the bathroom, or to the smoking patio. All the people are great and cool EXCEPT FOR THE ******S THAT BLOCK THE BATHROOM!!! WTF?!?! Get the fuck out of the way people!!! Why does there always have to be a massive mob-like picket line that prevents entry to the washroom!!! The amount of people I have to elbow through to get in!
The crowd I measure is generally the people closest to me/around me, and those are all TAs of course! And you know how I feel about you! The only reason I rated 9 instead of perfect is because there were these annoying fucking little kids (who looked about 10 years old) that kept running around us with glowsticks and sometimes just wedged themselves between me and the other TAs that I like to dance next to. At one point I just told this little kid, please use your glowsticks on the side! And I think he got a bit scared and moved along 
Vibe: 10/10
One word: TOTA.
LOL I already did some storytelling above. Now for the REAL story telling (for the people who I love and love me back...you know who you are!

Kristina, what a pleasure to pick up/drop you off. You remind me of a certain Nada a long time ago, who took the plunge to get to know a complete stranger, and look at the beloved sister I have now!!! (Nada)! Kris, you are on your way!!! Thanks to TA I only had 1 hour of sleep the night before and my boss saw how much of a freak I looked like so he told me to go home early and get some sleep before my party tonight (yes I told him I was going out). I fucking love my boss. I can't wait to go to work today and tomorrow to impress him--he always does so many favours because I bust my fucking ass for him.
Anyway, got a 3 hour nap and I was ready to kick ass. Picked up Kris and drove over to Fire and Ice, where a wikked gang of TAs were waiting.
DREW AND DANNIE!!!! What a surprise!! So awesome to see you out as well as the birthday boy, Ben...dude you are fucking awesome! Next time remember to sit in the CENTRE of the table so all you guests can sit around you?
Met a few new TAs (sorry can't remember anyone's name). My regular buddies, Tyler, Sasha, Max, and uh...I guess that's it; everyone else was new. LOL at the server guy who was filled with jokes. Lots of awesome laughs...some key quotes:
- "Whoa Dannie, your legs are smooth!"
- "Kristina and I came together."
- "I don't get it."
(Hint: the people who said these quotes are complete dumbasses! )
Then off to the part-ay!!!! Btw, thank you for showing my car some love, Drew and Kristina! And one of the new guys said something, too. After I'll I've been through with her and all the frustration, it feels good to hear some compliments! Thanks guys!
Once there I met CHRIS after a FUCKING LONG TIME!!!!!!!! Nice to see you and Karen buddy!!!! SO long since I've seen you two!
And I met Angelo's gf, Anne!!!!!! HOOOOOOOOOLY SHIT what an ABSOLUTE SWEETHEART!!!!!!!!!! Such a kind, smiling, friendly person!!!! SOOOOOOOOOO DAMN FRIENDLY!!!!!!!!!!! She honestly made my dancing night...with her, Kristina and Dannie, as well as TWO Kellys, I had so many dancing partners to pick from for those select moments when you just want to have a cute girl dancing in front of you, my night was made!!!! I <3 you guys!!!!!
Seriously, Angelo, you're a lucky guy!!!! Heard you were supposed to come, too!! Did you get the message from her that I said hi? Then I added a few choice words of my own! I had a wicked time! Showed up with my friend rob at about 12:50am roughly, he was tanked lol. Everyone chilling up at the bar, met up with everyone. I love all of you! So many jokers out of all of us haha its awesome. nice to meet you anne, your super friendly with a huge smile always on your face! Finally met and got to talk to funkygroove without being trashed for once lol, your super fun! I havent seen you in forever karen, holy crappers, you gotta come out soon again!
I got to bed at about 7:30am something, woke up at 10:20am, and I thought it was like 4pm in the afternoon! lol maaaaaaan! Stupid dishwasher running above my head (I sleep in the basement) and my cats meowing waking me up, plus the fact that everyone in the house is up too. lol
I know that ALOT of you, including me, were tired before we even got there. I was yawning massive when the first dj was spinning crazy stuff, cause I so wasnt getting into it, still tryed to dance, but I was tired. M.I.K.E. came on, and everyone just boom, started going nuts dancing haha! so awesome, i love it! wicked set by M.I.K.E. and mark oliver started some hard hard stuff after! loved it! everyone started to leave soon after that, and me and my friend did too.
I've known my friend rob since he came to canada from romania in grade 8, we've been friends ever since. he used to have a massive accent, now he has like nothing, and speaks better than I speak! (I mumble ALOT! haha). I used to be scared to go to clubs, I didnt want to go in because i didnt know how to dance, what to do. he forced me to go into Lime Light like 3 years ago, then guvernment, and I just loved it! fast forward to today, and wow, what a change haha. hes the one that got me into all of this, which is awesome! he doesnt come out to much, so i'm happy when he does, get to catch up on old times. yeah, thats my little story lol.

The night started off great at fire&ice. Had some wicked food (you were right Ben, it was delicious) which was a perfect way to fill up on some energy before burning it all off at Viva. Also, a lot of great laughs at the resturant... I can't believe we had an entire debate over that monkey joke lol... I'm still sticking to the fact that they crashed the car because he's a monkey, not that he was looking back! MONKIES CAN'T DRIVE DAMN IT!! if he knew how to drive he won't look back!
At viva, Chiclet drew down a mediocre set. She had some massive tracks, but I really didnt like how it went HARD one second, then Epic the next. If she had played the same tunes but from epic to hard, I would have liked her set a lot more.
But man... DJ KEY!!! holy crap, that guy THREW DOWN MASSIVE tracks, all the TA's were going crazy for this guy like he was a superstar! He dropped: Mauro Picotto - New Time, New Place I haven't heard that track in ages!! I was heading to the back when he mixed it in. I had to run back to F&C for it, Freakin Amazing.
The only problem was his last 3-4 Tracks really sucked... it was crappy hardstyle that no one was feelin, but aside from that, it was a wicked set: 8.5/10
Then comes MIKE!! Yet another AWESOME set. He started off with some wicked house, then moved into some progressive, then hands inthe effin air trance! and oh man, when he played Universal Nation... amazing 
The only problem I had was his lack of crowd interaction, it would have made the set he was playing so much better than it was.
Also, I wish MIKE were on a little earlier... due to having a big meal and only sleeping 4 hrs each night this week, I was just drained near the end of his set. Next time i gotta sleep like 12hrs before an event.
It was nice to see everyone again (not gonna list cuz there are too many names to remember right now) and it was nice to meet a few new TAs: Martin (Cyper) and Kristina (FunkyGroove)

WOW. Thanks to all of you who busted my ass to get me out last night, it was worth EVERY minute.
Fire & Ice was HILARIOUS. Crazy GT's and jokes all around. A good way to set the mood for what was looking to be an awesome night.
Got in and headed to the bar to say hellos. Nice to run into Michelle and Kevin again, you guys are true veteran party-people [Kevin you still owe me the demo you promised @ the cottage lol!] The usual suspects were all in attendance and we had a few drinks to the sounds of Chiclet rockin out...playing very different stuff than usual. (Was that a management thing, or were you just experimenting with your sound?) Anyway, Key then took over and it was really cool to formally meet marsha (and shannon. you two are awesome! <3 )
Then OMGWTFKEY! ROCKED my ass with some SERIOUS tunage! He was on his game for the majority of his set. HUGE bombs like Hello Strings, Arcadia, Without You Near, Advanced (even though I'm so sick of that song Key's MAD energy got me goin for sure!). But then...after the most awesome Key set ever...he started playin some weird shit that was sucking the life outta me. But at last...we saw the man himself.
2:45 rolls around and BAM! MIKE hits the stage. Kickin off the set with The Drill (oddly enough, the first time I've heard it in a club) then rocking right into Mode Hookers. You could tell this was gonna be a HUGE night!
Then MIKE did what he does best. Worked the crowd like a MASTER. When energy peaked, the tunes turned into a wall of beautiful trance synths...when we needed a boost...ROCKING out with some BANGING TROUSE!!
At around 4:30 I was really starting to feel the energy drain and was thinking of headin home. Good thing Dannie is a superstar and reminded me 'DREW!? THIS IS MIKE!' and with that I was like OMGWTPLOW youre RIGHT! And luckily we stuck around because at that moment, the ROOF was TORN OFF!!!
