-- shadow of the colossus
shadow of the colossus
has anyone played that game?
i bouhgt it yesterad and WOW!!11 it's amazing...
colossuses (<--i don't know is it proper plural form ;P) are really enormous and so impressive, scenery like from fairy tale... i gonna spend long hours with this title
This game hasn't got a plot.
It gets repetitive after a while. The good part is when u are fighting the Colossuses and u have to find the right way to beat them.
I don't like the dark enviroment that it has and sometimes u feel lonely at this big world.
Great graphics and music.

Yeah it's good game , no doubt. I am enjoying this atm.
have you played ICO?... i've heard it's quite similar to SotC, at least at "mood", but i haven't chance to try it...
No dude I haven't.
my favorite game of 2005 not to mention one of the best games i've ever played. the game is beautiful, the way its presented is amazing. the only thing i don't like is how the game makes you feel guilty for killing some of the colossi
i will probably check it out tomorrow
I bought the ICO re-release and it was certainly worth it, despite not being the longest or most challenging of games. Shadow of the Colossus is on my wishlist along with several other titles.
SPOILER:
Shadow of the Colossus is an indirect prequel to ICO.
At the end of the game, the first child with horns is born.
END SPOILER.
this game is really badass. i just love the epic battles. and while it "doesn't have a plot" frankly in the end of things, i didn't care; the puzzles were challenging but not impossible, and the game just really clicked with me.
an all boss battle game was surprisingly amazing.
For anyone interested in developing, a good 'making of' has been put up here:

Overall a beautiful game. One of the most imaginative gameplay experiences I've had in a long time.
It looked fun, but then I had to fight the first colossus.. I couldn't... I felt like such a loser
IQO is fun, but all those riddles and stuff get boring after a while
The ambiguity woven within the plot line adds to the game beauty and style. This is in stark contrast to most other games in it's genre that tell you exactly what's happening and why. I think it's a breath of fresh air amidst a sea of GTA rip offs.
if my ps2 wasnt currently in 4 pieces i would buy this immediately.
yeah, this and ICO likely do not have extensive plot. when ICO came out at the beginning of the PS2 it is unlikely that such an inspired game with gorgeous graphics existed.
i have played games across all platforms and nothing enchanted me as much as ICO.
shadow may have slowdown issues, but i will play this some day. gorgeous and makes you think, not just search for instant gratification|
I'm so desperate to play this game!

I thought that Shadow of the Colossus is an indirect SEQUEL, not prequel to ICO...?
I have the game, but barely touched it. i'll get around to it someday. Video card on PC making it hard to go back to PS2 block graphics. For those of you that haven't, pick up ICO, same mood as this one, but a classic game, one of the best on PS2 IMO.
Further, the plural of colossus is colossi (kol os aye)

This game is the best game of all on PS2. So amazing, the stunts you can pull off and the feeling when you do it. Oh man, this game rocks so much.
when i was going to fight this badboys a actually felt scared just to look at the size, and then when you finally beat them ,i felt sorry for them ,just there roaming doing their own business and here i come sword in hand to kill them ,it brings alot of feeling's like no other game in history , really good stuff ,this guy's really know how to make new innovative games that dont requiere stupid gimmick's.
I really really really really really want this to come out on PC
This thread deserves some screenshots!

i've only played the demo from a magazine cover disc but it's incredible...the sheer size and scope of the world and the colossi!!! the draw distance when you are fighting a colossus is a bit average hehe, but i guess that only means they are pushing the machine to its limits. from what i have read there doesn't seem to be much happening between fights but i would probably buy it if i could afford it! some incredible moments just from playing the demo.
