SEATTLE (Reuters) - A man shot and killed six people he was partying with in a Seattle home on Saturday before taking his own life with a sawed-off shotgun, police said.
The seven killed included both males and females and all were teens or in their 20s, Seattle police Sgt. Deanna Nollette said.
Two more people were wounded in the shooting, which took place about 7 a.m. in a residential neighborhood, Nollette said. One of the wounded was hospitalized in life-threatening condition.
"The scene was chaotic," she said.
There were 15 other people at the house who witnessed the shooting, and it appeared everybody had been at a party at another house and came to the scene of the shooting to continue partying, she said.
The suspected shooter appeared to have left the party, then come back and started firing. It is not clear if there had been a fight at the party, or whether drugs or alcohol were involved, Nollette said.
Police converged on the scene after reports of gunshots and found the suspected shooter chasing one of the victims who staggered from the home. When confronted, the suspect turned the gun on himself, police said.
The suspected shooter was carrying other weapons and ammunition, police said.
I just read this on another site. That shit's fucked up! Check out this article.

psychooooooooooo...
That is tremendously fucked-up. I don't like how they're referring to it as a "Zombie Rave" though. The original party that all of the people involved were attending was an all-ages rave called Better Off Undead. It's kind of ironic. :-/
There's a local site where a lot of discussion on this is going on, (although there's some spam and flame wars...just read past them):

(note, there are several pages, many including quoted police reports and links to more news articles and videos)
My heart starting pounding when I read this because the "is so-and-so ok?" were referring to people I used to know and party with when I lived up in Seattle a couple years ago. My condolences go out to those in Seattle and who have friends who were victims in this.
Video of survivors (so you can see how miserable this incident was)

this even made headlines in Toronto Canada

My condolesences to everyone involved. That's really really shitty to say the least. Toronto went through similar instances relating to bad media publicity before we lost our ability to throw proper after hours events... I hope seatles scene can recover from this effectively to convince everyone that this kind of behaviour is the rare exception.
Aw, this is so sad.
I think at times like this, a lot of us really have trouble grasping why Americans insist that they want to have the right to own firearms. The argument that they need the guns to defend themselves diminishes when time and time again, the people who really truly need guns to defend themselves never have them and always end up getting killed...
What happened up there is a real tragedy. But making something illegal doesn't make it unobtainable.
