hey there!
intro is nice
, the kick is way to shallow for me, i dont think it fits the rest of the track. the bass is a bit weak to? and the some perc is cutting..
2:35 where the synth comes in is cool
, i dont like the hissing..
the synth gets some emotion here
cool!
i still dont like the hissing. its kinda cool, very pro ish i think
.
then comes this dark synth instead
, i think that would fit into a psy tune more
.
then that synth again, thats just cool
.
i feel like there isnt any powerfull lead or stuff in this track, that would be nice!
the outro begins.. its nice, very driving percs but maybe get rid of the high's.
great tune!
original sounding percs.
nice weired verbed synthy perc.
i like the bpm. not too fast..
i cant comment on the kick due to the speakers im on at present. but id say it doesnt sound big or loud enough..
this sounds very prog. id like to hear a bit more variation in the percs. chop parts out hear and there and make some mini breaks..
overall i think the arrangement need serious work for it to really make me happy
but the overall sound it great but drive lacks
. maybe sidechain a 3rd of everything here to the kick.. really heavily so 1/3 of the percs and one (out of three) of the submelodies is also affected. i think a lot of drive will be made from this. get that kick really pumping aswell and i can imagine this as one of the tracks m.i.k.e would play on his sets..
good work mr rogers
thanx a lot for ur comments rich..
a lot of my friends said they loved the song and its structure, and others critisized it.
I guess its all preference.....i think i have to work on the presnece of the kick more and probably more variation, but besides that im quite happy with everything else.
thanx for ur review!
Not bad at all, really like the perc and the ideas. The sub bass works really well, would work particularly well on a big system in a club.
The top end percs I think are a little bit too loud and end up dominating the rest of the track - I know it's nice to have them sounding sharp and kinda cutting through but I think they'd still have that effect if they were a bit quieter because of the sounds you've used.
Agree that the kick isn't strong enough, although tbh just turning it up a bit would probably do the job (maybe compressing it a bit more if necessary).
5/10 - that could well go up to about a 7 if you can sort the things above, I'd probably play it.
(Mark scale: 0 Give Up, 1-3 Gonna take some more work, 4-5 Nearly there, 6-8 Signable, 9-10 Outstanding)
