Smiley DJ How do Producers Write musik?

Ive been wondering this forever....when someone says it took dj tiesto or matt darey a while to come up with writing this song...how do u write beats on a sheet of paper? what do yall think....

I've never heard of a dance producer composing on paper

all I've seen so far is people mucking around with sequencers

i think they just play aroudn and then they find the right beats and stick with them

when I think of a riff or a beat or anything that may sound good i write it down, usually by notes and on a scale and all since I took music for 4 years, but thats the extent of the writing.. the rest is all trying new stuff, messing around with sequences, adding more layers, etc..

the truth

im a producer and for me coming up with a tight beat or a sweet melody is a matter of fulling around with my software and a matter of time. when i think of a beat i usilly forget it. the only way a have any songs done is because i site there for hour tweeking stuff. when you say that "it took dj tiesto or matt darey a while to come up with writing this song" they most likelyare just tweeking stuff
