Rumour control Shorty resigns from Stereo & Sonic
The Clubs owners have decided to go in a different sound philosophy direction one that i can not align with. Given the owners decisions, I had no choice but to resign.

I will continue to promote my sound philosophy & I have other international projects under way.

In regards to the sound system in Stereo, I removed all my loaned custom designed and custom modified equipment & replaced it with new standard equipment so the club can still function.

Any other statements that are brought forward about this matter are truely false. Shorty

It's obvious that the intent of Shorty is to create doubt/dissapointment about Sonic's opening. A good damage control strategy for Sonic would be to respond to this ASAP.

An official press release will be released this week, on this matter, the official grand opening details, and everything else.

So this has already been done at Stereo? I was hoping to check out Stereo for the first time after BeB. This is very bad news.

An experience I will never get to have.

I was supposed to be at Stereo this past weekend. Fuck! It would have been the last weekend the sound system was in place.

Stereo's reputation for sound was platinum, long before Shorty arrived.

all sound engineers have their own philosophy/technique behind what they believe makes a good system. shorty has his philosophy and whoever the new guy is at sonic/stereo has his own.

I agree. I've never heard anything like it before and don't know if i'll ever hear anything quite like it again. it was so pure.

thats some sad news, stereo had one of the best sound systems i've ever heard.
we dont know it could even be better but a club is not defined by its sound system only.
i still cant wait for Sonic to open.

I honestly think this is being blown out of proportion...i mean, yeah i was just as excited much as the next person to hear the system shorty was building , and yeah i'm sure the system at Stereo was unbeleivable. But I also know guys like David Morales and especially Carey wouldn't be going in another direction if it wasn't as good if not a better one.

Maybe a revamped Alpha Dynacord?
