Dark Raver - Where are they?

Do they have a website? kinda like TA?

I love Dark Raves. Lots of hot, friendly goth raver chicks. I got to play at one and it was so much fun.

lol. I was talking with Kevin and he wanted to see if I could play. I unfortunately won't be back in town yet so had decline. When I saw you were playing I've been meaning to call you to set up with some really rockin tracks to blow em away.

usually 5-6am can be expected. First one I saw I felt a bit out of place but once you get into the music and get friendly with the crowd its a great time.

they guy throwing it is a really nice guy and go to a lot of effort to host these. The decorations are always great and all the proceeds go to a great cause.

I would pass on almost anything in Toronto this night to go to this instead. I had a lot of fun at the last one. very intimate vibe.

I attended the last one in feb.

Is the crowd easy to get along with? Generally friendly like the trance crowds? Unfortunatly sometimes goths can be intimidating...even if they're really super nice and cool.

I'm usually out of place at most parties.

The only place I ever felt comfortable was systemsound bar.

yeah the crowd is pretty nice. I just had some sterotypes in mind when I walked in and had to adjust to realize I was wrong and they were out of place.
It's been a long time since I went... maybe around NYE 2003 but I know they still try to attract a very friendly crowd and avoid attitude. One way or another I'd say do it. it's not your normal night out that for sure and at the VERY least you're in for some great tunes and most likely to meet some great new people outside of your normal circles.

oh I've been to a dark rave once, and it was awesome, was in guelph. Would love to go to another!

and goth people, although yes visually intimidating, are some of the nicest, most intellegent people around. I used to be in the goth scene so I've met a lot of them, and they're great. The dark rave I went to, there were some hard core medieval-style goths. One of them had an authentic corset on and her waist was cinched to about 15 inches, it was crazy!

Usually have really cool tattoos and other bodily adornments too

If you go to one...let me know! I too find goths incredibly intriguiing. I hate how they are so stereotyped. I know a few as well who are super intelligent. Even look at Marilyn Manson for example...I think he's a pure genius. I don't agree with some of the things he does...but very smart dude.
