TOTA Poker Thread - Who is a "player"

I think we should have a TA poker tournie sometime. Ill set it up hows that?

Who plays? and where?

I honestly watch like 10 hours a week on tv. Just signed up on Pokerstars.net

Im also looking for a good 500 set of Chips for cheep. Any ideas?

I played real poker for the first time this weekend and learned about the big and small blinds. I went all-in my first two hands. And won.

Wouldn't call myself a playa but yeah definetly would be down for a TA tourny. Been playing at work fairly often as of late and have realised that despite hold-em being an extremely simple game - in theory - it takes a lot more skill to win.

I'm definitely a poker player. I went to vegas a few weeks ago and completely destroyed everyone @ my table. The craziest thing ever was that I hit a royal flush on my last hand. My jaw dropped and I definitely did not hold my poker face then!!!

I'm in for a game if other girls are too. I hate being the only girl @ the table...even though it does hold an advantage because no one takes me seriously! More $$$ for me.

Awwwesome... I went to vegas a couple weeks ago and IT destroyed me. I found the game play to be extremely conservative there compared to the 1-2 games I play here. Big switch for me.

My gf plays too.. maybe I can get her to come out so you're not the only one

I'm looing into venues in TO... as for date... 2-3 weeks notice is always good. Lemme see what I come up with.

In anyone has a place we could host this, please speak up

I would estimate maybe 20-30 players... I imagine a couple TAs might have a friend or two they'd might wanna bring.
