i saw a funeral today

and had a random thought. ppl are always wondering what the after life is like. hasn't it occurred to anyone its most likely the same as the before life? before you were born what were you doing? nothing. you didn't float above the earth hoping to join life. so when you die you will most like go back to that same state. your not going to miss living because you will simply cease to exist. ppl have a problem with dieing but we were all dead before we were born. so while i'm not looking forward to death its not as bad as one would think.

i do somehow believe in reincarnation..

This is true. When you die, your cells do not just disappear. They disinegrate and form to something else. You become worm food, and therefore become the worm, which is then eaten by a bird, and you are now part of a bird.

However, IF you believe in the eternal soul, then you will be concerned with what happens to this.
I haven't quite decided what I think happens to my eternal soul. Plato's theory was that we returned to a "world of ideas", the place we were before we became what we call "humans". We forget this "world of ideas".

Who knows?

I think that IGK has got a great point about it being "just like before we were born". Whether there is an eternal soul to be concious of it or not is the question.

I got a friend who is stupid & a couple times while driving with him we saw a parade of cars for a funeral. Hes dumb & mistaken it for a wedding & starts beeping & waving.
