[Melodic] Eldritch - Euphoric State (Original Mix) - FULL
Hey.
So, this track is something I've been working alot on
lately. About a month total.
Comments on levels/EQ etc. are welcome.
Thanks!

/(Updated with new version.)
I think that kick could use a little more upper end punch. Sounds like it takes up alot of lower end space right now. Also I'm having some trouble hearing the bass - could be more clear in the mix.
@ 2:40 right now - loving that synth
4:40 - the morphing lead sounds way too strong in the mid-highs (must be the filter), it's hurting my ears, especially in contrast with the rest of the track that seems so much more low-end driven.
I like the melody and the atmosphere. I think this needs some EQ work. Btw I'm still loving blue skies and sphere. Keep it up
I think the open hat is too standard.
The kick could use more punch.
1:48 - Really starting to pick up now
2:37 - Loving that synth
4:10 - Mmmmmmm pads
I didn't have to listen any longer...I really like your style
Great work maybe a little repetitive at the beginning, but definitely a great track. Fix the EQing and I think you got a great track here mate.
Nice work with that Bitcrushing.
The kick's EQ'd to low, so instead of getting a nice punch, I'm getting some pumping.
Highs are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too loud. They're actually drowning the bass out, and with the way you have your low end EQ'd, it's already really messy down there.
Try toying with the modulation on that morphing synth to give it a more trippy sound. Make it talk to me.
Overall levels are low (is it mastered or no?). The mix could use lower volumes on the hats. I also think that compression on the whole mix is not properly set up. It seems squashed. This is especially evident when saw synths come in.
The break is cool, good idea, but again the synths are flat and without movement. Let them breathe more, by easing on the compression or limiter.
I like the snare used and also think that drums sound OK, but EQ is in order on most of the elements in this track.
Try producing a track without sonic manipulation first (EQ, compression...) to hear how it sounds and then start manipulating if needed.
Thanks everyone for your input. I've uploaded a new version.
I changed and tweaked some things.
- EQed the kick to get a little more punch
- Toned down the high frequencies of some of some synths
- Reduced the level of the hats. (I tend to over do them for some reason
)
- Replaced the old boring 909 hat with something nicer.
- Fixed a clipping problem which I think caused the limiter to squash the mix.

I am trying to download it but it says too much people using the service, come later lol,any other link mate?
Kopi =o.
hey there!
.
the intro is nice! i like it.
i like how everything flows in this track!
the "lead" sound you used here is really cool!
the break is really cool! the low really gives some mood.
right now i think all the levels are really ok.
man this track is cool but i think the percs could be a bit higher in volume beacuse i think they are really low in the climax.
the melody is really good
.
i really like your beat! its really cool.
for the second climax i think you should have brought in something new to make it a bit different!
i really enjoyed this track! great work.
what did you use to do the filtering in the outro?

Holy Buckets!!!
This is awesome! The kick is huge, hard and phat. It's like a good cross of hard-trance, epic, and stadium. The elements at the buildup provide appropriate tension without being boring (something I often fail at).
The hat-line is so there. I was practically bobbing my head when the kick came back after the breakdown. The dirty-saw lead was a definate plus, and the pads in the background make this track BOTH ethereal an driving at the same time (which is really what this genre is all about).
CHeers, Eldritch. Much respect! What are you using in your productions, again? Reason! Well cheers for proving that it's a capable sequencer.
Like I said... a kick-azz combo of epic, hard-trance, and stadium. Alphazone without the overdone crud... with a touch of late 90s awesomeness.
This is a great track, I listened to it a few times. Lovin what you did with the bass so far. Thought "rebirth" was good too, but this one is way better.
10/10
Awesome track!!!
very good
have nothing new to add to the other comments
just lettin you know i listened and liked.
The kick sounds too EQed and fluffy for something supposed to be so hard.
The hats are *awesome*.
1:44 here we go!
2:22 enjoying the track so far, nice synth coming in
I really like I'm at 3:30 and no breakdown yet.. the energy is moving nice.. ah here's the breakdown, nice and smooth.
Swelling synths are lovely, nice release of the filter there.
The kick is working better for me now, but it could be even better.
The break at 7:45ish sounds very fake, it's perhaps too fast, and the bass isn't backing it up. It disrupts the flow of the track, partly because of the kick, which doesn't seem to work as well by itself as it does while driving the mix during the climaxes.
So yeah, overall, I love the track, but the kick's lowend and high clicky bits just don't work for my taste when they're playing during the quieter parts of the mix. Good synth choices and percs, really really amazing percs, and nice work with your fx.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the comments.
I agree with the comments about the kick somewhat. It's a bit too thumpy, in a bad way.
Looking back, I regret that I made this track so hard. Because it's really not my style. I should have made it slower, about 136 bpm. And a smoother groove that would have fit the main melody better.
Actually, I might do a remix of it.
