Deja Vu II - April 14th @ Club HAVOK Houston, TX
Unfortunately there isnt going to be a dedicated "trance" area due to the original promoter dropping the ball and someone else having to pickup the pieces and fill the slots. 
HOWEVER, I along with the NEW promoter are working it out to where Deja Vu III will have the previously promised Trance/Prog area. ALSO I will be doing a CD toss at this event so if you want some free jams come out and have a good one.
and I want to apologize again for the delay with the second half of my Deja VU set. Like I said I've been REALLY swamped but will have it up soon, I promise
Dont worry bout part 2 of the set its cool. But whats goin on with the former promoter, im still sort of confused...

whatever still lookin forward to it...should be dandy. Oh and thanks for keepin the event alive instead of just endin it right there

any idea if the place is gonna have their liquor license by the time this one happens? I was caught unaware and, by extension, sober at the last one because they didn't have it yet.

oh yeah, i'm not opposed to bringing my own (cheaper that way anyway), I just want to know if they'll have alcohol there too
Hey mattd, is the age for this still like the last one? 16 up cuz my friends wanna go again cuz they enjoyed the last one....word....I emailed the original promoter but no word yet..

hmm if this is a 16+ event agewise I just might bring my brother, who's turning 16 like 2 days after it (if they won't let him in they can suck my nuts, 2 days away is fucking close enough). Would be his first time in a club or bar of any kind, might be an interesting way to introduce him to the underground-ish scene.
ps: anyone up for getting some food/drinks beforehand, then going over together?

Hey, new here to these boards although people like Matt D and Matthias have no doubt already seen me on houstonbeats. Just dropping in to say I'll be there. (The teen with blue hair, shades, glow wire, glowsticks, yadda yadda)
haha yeah i saw u at deja vu 2...intense...that whole thing was perdy intense. Welcome to the boards
I initially went because the promoter had me on the guestlist. Wanted to to see how he ran shop to see if I wanted to play at the next Deja Vu. The highlight of the party was the hour and a half spent in my expedition with a 19 y/o candyraver hottie named "Firefly" (?) but that's besides the point...and..yeah back to the review.
There were 3 rooms. The main room I'm guessing had okay sound...for a room of its size the sound system couldn't suffice for it. Its hard to find a sweet spot as the rooms accoustics had alot of the sound dispersing. The second room where Dunn played sounded alot better, although a little too lout (I might be getting to old..perhaps) but it was much cleaner than the main. One of the DnB djs was trying to blow the speakers a little around 3ish. The upstairs chill room probably had the best sound. Most of the DJs there were playing house/prog house so I stayed there and consequently ran into said raver chick.
In review..I'm glad I went. Nothing like getting into a party for free, getting laid, and going back into the party for the last hour and a half. Great sets by Dunn and SpaceCity Disco.
I ended up missing this one, which is too bad because it sounds like it was a good party.
and yeah, I agree the sound in the big room is kinda off. The highs are really loud and the bass doesn't seem to have the kick it should. Almost gives you a headache.
