The PALADIN 5.1 Advanced Prototype
Music programming is best described as dark and hard, and utilizes a combination of vinyl / original tracks and a Roland MC-303. First a primary music bed is pre-recorded and encoded. The various sources are then mixed and effected into the surround program - in real time. The collective music signal is then decoded with a Teac AV-400 using Dolby Surround processing and sent to the main sound system. Signal output includes: (L+R stereo) as well as a (mandatory) secondary speaker system (one mono center channel and 2 mono rear surround speakers). The result is Dolby 3/1 Surround Sound and an audio experience that borders on sensory overload. An excellent feature of this configuration is not only the simplicity - but the independent secondary processing and speaker systems. Regular music programming is not effected in any way as well as allowing PALADIN to either adjust or by-pass the surround processing if necessary without missing a beat. Although usually reserved for movie theaters, applying the encoding / decoding process to hard dance music and real time mixing - immerses the dance floor in the audio program unlike anything in use today.
The PALADIN 5.1 system also includes a custom made wireless F.L.I.R. ( forward looking infra red ) camera system. Utilizing advanced technology similar to that used by military and government agencies. Totally wireless...with a range beyond 100 meters, this custom made one of a kind camera system emits no visible light - yet high power infra red LED's provide true "night vision" images on projector screens as well as giving a never before seen view of the dance floor from the PALADIN system itself. Accompanying the FLIR video feed, is additional pre-recorded video that is sync'd to the music and "manic" to say the least.
In addition to wireless video output, the PALADIN 5.1 system is also equipped with a stereo FM transmitter and signal booster. The capability of the PALADIN system to broadcast on any standard FM frequency adds yet another layer to the complete experience. The standard configuration currently allows participants to hear discreet voice communication from PALADIN. With an on board voice processor and noise canceling microphone; PALADIN can walk and talk to any individual with a receiver...or feed the signal to the main system. At larger events, this capability can be configured to independently provide music to anyone with a FM radio - within the operational range of the on-board 4ft antenna - or - at a proximity close enough to PALADIN to hear the onboard 10 watt amplified speaker system.
To complement the audio, is an on-board visual system unlike any other. The primary component is an arm mounted - 7mW - bright green - D.P.S.S. laser system. This compact laser is capable of projecting a beam over 4000 meters away, and is visible without the augmentation of a fog machine. The laser is also supplemented with a 1,000,000 candle power hand held spotlight. On the chest, is a 1.3" LCD screen as well as a 10 band graphic spectrum analyzer for real time visual interpretation of sound at any volume. Auxiliary sub-systems include: 12 vDC fused power system - with 4 auxiliary sub-systems, fan cooling, digital temperature display, 10 watt powered pre-amp and speaker system and a 4watt HID (visible) main light. At the heart of the PALADIN 5.1 prototype is a Lexan / ABS / composite Nylon sub frame. The functional armor utilizes 1/4" thick photo-luminescent thermoplastic panels which, under ultra violet light - output approximately 600 candlepower. To achieve a 3D effect when photographed, the plates are outlined with industrial grade Scotch-lite reflective Mylar - making the suit visible to reflected light over 2000 meters away. Completing the equipment list is a CSA approved helmet with a custom mesh front that blocks all light including camera flashes at close range as well as concealing a Sony VDR700 custom headphone monitor.

�Neo� spent weeks at number one on the Five Mighty Rollers. Hive�s label Violence has registered sales comparable to Ram,
Renegade Hardware, and Valve. He released a tremendous remix of Goldie�s and Rob Playford�s �The Shadow� for Moving Shadow.
Metalheadz has invited him to record an e.p. for the label. He�s toured worldwide, completing a month of dates in New Zealand
and Australia in the fall of 2002, preceded by a month in the UK and Europe, which included a guest appearance for the Valve
Soundsystem. No American has gained such complete entree into the heart of drum and bass.

Mike Henderson aka DJ Endo contains all the qualities of a great DJ. He takes his listeners into a journey into Nu Skool Breaks. He has been playing for the masses for over 6 years, rocking every crowd he steps in front of with his Hardcore Breaks Sound. Mike�s background in music, being a drummer for over 13 years and playing professionally in punk and hardcore bands as well as playing other instruments such as the guitar, bass and vocals has given him the tools he needed to start mixing music properly. He first got behind the decks in 2001 and became hooked. His musical background influenced him to get into spinning Nu Skool Breaks. On New Years eve 2001 Endo played his first gig at a DJ Competition and came in first place, and the rest is history!
