Hey all,
Have been wondering whether is there anything in tis world that can completely, if not almost, take away the treble, mid, or bass? Think Robert Miles- Children. Say if I would like to have those guitar sounds "removed", Wat do I need to do that?

Another thing is, wat is an effects machine (hell, dun even noe whats it really called, but something close). Wat does it do and is it used hand in hand wif mixers?
Hell,these stuffs r giving me headaches, luckily I have the forum to turn to.
Any help would be deeply appreciated... Thanks a mil in advance..

yup but kill switches will not take out (just) the guitars
and effect units are devices thru which you run a signal and you can add effects (reverb chorus flange delay distortion compression etc).

They are usually meant to be used with either a guitar, or with a mixer (studio mixer, not dj mixer). Studio mixers have aux send knobs, the more you turn them the more of that signal get send to the effect unit you have put on that aux.

Doesn't mean you can't use them on a DJ-mixer, the easiest thing is to run the output from your dj mixer thru the effect unit, and use some bypass function when you don't need effects. Some DJ mixers have "SEND" knobs under the channel, which means you can send that channel only to the send out (which you run to your effect unit).

But what's the deal? You want some effect to remove the guitar from your signal? That gonna be extremely tricky if not impossible.

you need a sampler. and you have to get the end and beginning parts of the sample PERFECT or else it will sound bad.

the Pioneer DJM600(like in my sig) is a mixer that has this functionality, auto beat sampling, it will get 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 beats automatically i think.

i haven't tried it yet though..
