Thanks in advance
bass has to little LP on it. percs are a bit weak. distorded piano/pluck sounds to dry, doesen't fit the track well. break happens too sudden. i like the pad. the saw after the break could be good with a proper synth patch. mixdown is poor. needs work.
keep it up.
good effort
i agree dj sphere on all points.....try a little less distortion on the piano and it might work better...keep up the good work.....
reveiew my tune new dawn by covert23 thanks michael............
yo takkra.
nice track! your best yet imo!
your bassline is massive. really driving. minimal percs are just the ticket.
kick - i think its the wrong type imo. not enough punch or presense.
piano- melody is awsome. the rawness of the distorsion works well. dont decreace the distorsion. but lower the entire volume so it sounds the same but quieter.
break. no no no! it sounds like your are trying to keep the cheesy police happy - sorry rico my friend
. but its just not right for this massive track.
i think try and go minimal with this one. it aint uplifting trance. its takkra trance
use the parts up to the breakdown and build a track around that. those parts are pure awsome. i love them and would buy a vinyl like that. really driving.
listen to kyle emmerson - starbase01 as an example of where you should go with it
loads of potential mate!
rich
nice lead melody, good driving bass.
poor selection of sounds though. Compression is badly needed too
i think in the beggining u need some other percs to help the groove along...
not like the dist piano at all......not a fans of its melody either.
i like the melody of the saw a lot better...
sorry m8, just not digg'n the piano.
bassline is awsome...minor tweaks, be a killer track!
The high hat comes it too sudden around time :40 - :45 and seems to come in out of beat initially. I ran your MP3 through a compressor and it sounded MUCH MUCH better. I love that synth that comes in around 2:20. Its kind of cliche, but I love it nevertheless. I agree with others about the piano - turn down the distortion.
This is awesome for a first attempt!!! The melody was simple and yet VERY effective to create a mood. The background strings enforces the idea of the piano to a great degree. Good combo! I am impressed...
Adam
hey there takkra! this is nice, im quite diggin this.
i dont mind the piano but it might be a tad to dry.
i really like the saw that comes up.
it really fits the track better i think
.
this track feels kind of massive, thats just cool
.
kick is kinda good. i love the word kinda
.
the piano might need some changes, good track though!
ahh great
Just what I needed to see alot of different opinions
!
ok so ive got to work on the mixdown.. ill see what I can improve about the piano.. this is my first piano melody hehe
.. ill look for some more original sounds too.. I think im keeping the saw but in a different way
takkratrance
hehe thnx richard
! all you guys thanks for listening
!!
Hey Takkra,
Nice to hear you being back again. You always have original stuff and your very own style. When I read you were working on upliftting trance I had to smile because I knew you would not be able to just make uplifting trance without making it a bit dirty haha.
I quite like the whole idea you have here. The bassline is wicked and dirty. The broken false piano is downright creative.
It is original and fresh. But main thing when working on a more trancebased song the mixdown , mastering, soundchoice and eq'ing becomes a lot more important then when you do your more techy driven tracks. This track is not properly mixed mate. The kick doesn't help the track a lot either
The leadsound could be a bit more intresting as well, this is just too uninspired
And last but not least, this track lacks your normal trademark : exciting percussions.
So just add some more of your ingredients in the percs, pay good attention to the mixdown and perhaps get a less familiar leadsound and I think you really have got an original trancer on your hands.
Cheers!
Nomen Nescio
Cool track. the most has been said m8. This has great potetial if properly mixed and mastered this would defenetly work in a big club. But I dont hear no catch =( so this tune will be forgoten as fast as i delete it from my list, as for the piano is way to dry , some under reverb o good delay would fill the space upp. Keep it up // Mavve
Nice Bass Line, like the main riff, but mate sort it out, it needs to be FATT. if you send me a copy of the track mate (MIDI format) would love to do a remix. Like the piano, just turn it down a bit, and a little bit less distortion.
Any chance of doing a remix on it?
thank you NN for your kind words and advice
mavve thanks for the pointers
!! glad you liked!
ehh ashley wtf
?? is that a positive opinion
?
and to dj alliance, glad you liked it
the track isnt finished though.. but when its done you are free to get the midi and remix it
thanks for listening all of you

great epic synth sound to start
but make it fade out over a longer period and dissapear whaen a new part is introduced.
more little percs fill it out more. - nice choices
keep your awsome saw bass for later. make the track more dj friendly
build the track more and bring the bass in at about the 1 min mark imo. so it comes in just as the dj transition has finished.
again with the same synth you use at the very beginning make the fade out. a lot longer and drawn out so it fills more.
piano - still great. maybe a bit too much verb there. and still a bit loud. turn it down quite a bit imo na dboost your mids and highs of the saw bass. make that come out more. its one of the best parts and it gets lost behind the rest.
also id lower the long note synth strings melody in the mix a bit and lower it by an octave to give it more of a dark feeling.
your kick is so techno! i love it with the added percs that give the kick a multiple kick rolling sound. drive is huge.
overall i think this is superb! awsome work. the most finished piece you have done and the most bangin. definately make more of a feature of your percs and bass tho! use the piano and synth strings as atmosphere and let your 'takkratech' do the rest
your best track matey!!
rich
pm'd
bass is nice but i find the kick weak, doesnt stand out enough imo.
percs are worked well
like the piano but i think there is too much effects on it. would like to hear it more clearer less effects.
like the pad in the breakdown and the melody is nice but the paino is very overpowering.
like where your going with it has real dutch trance trends in it. the best form of trance imo.
i think you could make this a stormer with a bit of work.
cheers
kane
@********: I'd have to say there is too much muddiness around the lower end of the spectrum.
@Takkra: I like everything except the piano because of the extreme distortion on it. The bass is pretty damn awesome. It's you all the way. Only thing to watch out for like Nomen said...techy sounds work well, but not all work well with a trancer.
I like the melodies, it's definitelly harmonic. The drum sequences are very important in trance and they have to be as with much variety as the rest of the track. That's something that needs improvement. The bass is sweet and driving...very good.
I also liked the piano, it's unusual and original.
Keep it up
Effero
First of all im sorry for replying so late.. (im in the middle of a testweek so im really busy studying
)
thank everyone for your time and listening to my track
you too ashley
to rich.. ill try to make a nice catchy intro.. I had one before this, but I found that it sounded too empty though.. so thats why I made this kind of "intro".. thanks for your really helpfull advice too
!!!
dj kane, I think I know what you mean because after hearing the song alot I think its sounds too muddy.. and with the piano effects turned off its alot less muddy.. so I dont know what im going to do about that, because I do want to keep the distortion a bit
.
Dj Logik im glad you liked the track
still figuring out the style hehe
and effero thanks for your kind words
! glad you liked it too!
you re gonna love my rmx when its done mate!

whoa
im really looking forward to them!!!!
A fast review from me
I really like your piano, but imo its too much distortion...
Mixdown is too loud, sounds like all the channels volume are on max...
I like the bassline, much drive in it..
Percs in break is good. Adds very much to the break.
I hope you clean this up, its a great track, just needs a little more work.
Keep it up!
//Alexander
thank you for listening speactra!
im cleaning up the track atm
im not very good in eq'ing and compressing and stuff so itll take a while
glad you liked the track
!!
Nice bassline
Nice and punchy kick give it that nice flow, now just separate them
I think the track could use a little more progression, in example starting with the kick, then add something to introduce just the bass
and percs and all that. I love your piano but Im not digging the distortion. It would make a beautiful melody without distortion lol.
I think next you should have a build up at 1:42, kill the kick and the clap and highats, to introduce some strings, and from there just make a massive drumroll and you bring everything back in. It's a really nice driving track. One more suggestion. I tend to not use the same pattern more than once when it comes to a crash cymbal or hit, try to variate it gives your track a suspenseful quality
