Help me!! Problem with Ebay seller

Im having major problems with a Ebay seller Won about 23 records from him on auction a few weeks ago and when playing them they condition was absolutely terrible non playable so to speak, with big noise cracking sounds in the background. He was very kind replying with more indepth info for every record i was interested in. But he completely changed when i was telling him i wasn't satisfied the records replying my mail with words containing arse, idiot..I quote my mail and the reply i got,

Hey! I picked up the first batch of records and im not satisfied at all. The Nalin Kane record absolutely worthless in condition crap!! and i about to say the same for the rest with exceptions the POB, Salt Tank, Olmec Heads and the Voyager record, they did fine however i must say the Salt Tank sleeve did not looked quite what i was espected it looked like trash. It did say great condition in the describtions on all records and i now know that wasn't true. Without sounding rude im seriously demanding money back for those i wasn't satisfied with. Im about to give feedback of six negative. If you want to skip the bad feedback your getting from me the only solution would be money back. Im not mad if we can solve this problem out the outcome will be fine. Im hoping that you reply to this mail. Thanks!! Greets!!

his reply,

Let me get this right you sent me in excess of 20 e mails regarding these records, you asked me to relist records, that you said you were going to bid on but didnt, you are a total pain in the arse to deal with you messed me about with the invoicing, the adresses, sent me emials with the same questions over and over again and received 30records whish cost me hundreds for about 2 pounds each. I dont want to get personal with you but I havnet got time in my life to deal with arseholes like you

What should i do? I contacted Ebay but im not shure they will do anything about it.

Thanks! Christian

Here's a for your issue..

You can request his contact information from ebay. Try calling him and resolving it. If that doesn't work, you can file a complaint with ebay and they will try to resolve it. If none of that works, leave him the 6 negative feedback and move on as best you can.

fuck ebay

Don't pay attention to his treats or comments about you "abusing" him with repeated emailing and such.

Send him an email stating you want to find an arrangement in regards to the situation ( a refund for the unplayable records or sleeves that were damaged when stated as being in good condition in the auction listing ).

If he does not cooperate or even give you the time of day file a complaint with Paypal ( which is what I sincerely hope you used to make paiement !! ).

When filing the complaint state that the item does not fit description of auction listing. Feel free to go in detail about what specifics items are a problem ( you may have to give all the auction numbers or if this was a lot purchase it'll be easier to explain.
Paypal in return will contact seller who will then have to explain the situation. If he fails to reply you will get an automatic refund under 10 days normally. If he replies to paypal then the process could take anywhere from a couple days to 30 days at the most usually.

Best of luck. I have gone through this before and I have gotten full refunds several times without having to even return the item! Paypal rocks if you know how to use it.

File a complaint with ebay, try to use Squaretrade to resolve your dispute. If you used paypal to make your payment you can complain to them and i think you can even get them to reverse the transaction. If not, go talk to your credit card company and ask their advice.

meh i have bought 90% of my records online and only had a problem with one or two. ebay isnt the best source unless you know the sellers. most of the time i shop through gemm, as they have a quality guarantee. every now and then you get burned mate, but shit happens.

]PLEASE DON'T DO THAT, don't use SquareTrade, you will just lose your money. Squaretrade won't be able to do shit!!! you'll pay $25 dollars for a guy communicating with you and the seller, and then saying "well, if you don't agree on the issue, I won't be able to do shit for you", and that's it. it will frustrate you even more, believe me.

ALSO hold on to that negative feedback - cause the guy will just reciprocate it on you. However, if you were buying records one-by-one from him, and not in a bunch, you will be able to leave feedback for each of those auctions. you can try to persuade him that a whole freaking page of negative feedback will not look very good for him at all - much worse than for you, if he is a constant seller, and you are just on and off - you can simply discard your ebay account, while he needs his reputation as a seller much more!

I used squaretrade once because the seller was certified Squaretrade.
I also got full refund and didn't have to send item back.

I used SquareTrade twice, and I ended up losing around $50 for it and not getting SHIT! plus, chances are, if the seller acts and uses attitude like that, he is not a squaretrade-certified seller.

i'd probably respond with this:

quote:

Well u do have to use it smartly. I just used their free service without paying for the mediator. Basically i used it to delay, and prevent the seller from taking other actions. I simultaneously sorted things out with paypal and the credit card company. End of the day I had arguments on squaretrade that the seller couldn't respond to (i had some good evidence on my computer) and I had already got my money back.. there wasn't much he could do.
