that is the most fucked up thing i have ever seen in my life

who the fuck would trust the guy first of all that those are actually the signatures and even more than that... $50,000 US???????????????????????????????????

Posted by Timski on Apr-03-2006 01:25:

phucking rediculous...

Posted by MidnightProjekt on Apr-03-2006 03:43:

For me personally, signatures are something that I would only take for the same reasons I'd take a photo with a DJ / musician. It's because I admire them and I want to remember the moment.

However, attempting to sell it off for 50 grand is a bit ridiculous. Each to their own I guess, he's allowed to try his luck I guess.

Posted by Omega_Blue on Apr-03-2006 09:50:

now they're back down to a reasonable SIX THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED smackers...

Posted by Jason_R on Apr-03-2006 17:25:

I think the fact he has no feed back says ity all really.

Posted by DJ ICE777 on Apr-04-2006 02:19:

50'000$ is that seriously what he was asking for???

how this guy came up that number i have no idea!

Some of you guys don't know your DJ history but then again neither does that guy.

For a start Kool DJ Herc is not responsible for 'The Message' even if Grandmaster Melle Mel is, the other people mentioned are part of the furious five also featured on the track.
Kool DJ Herc did not perform the first scratch but he did create the concept of Breaks i.e. playing just the best part of a song and looping it.

I have Kool Herc's autograph too if someone wants to part with 8 million dollars mua ha ha ha. I have seen him play live and he does not scratch as it was never his thing. The man is a legend though and should not be overlooked as he really kick started the whole DJ phenomonon. There are other greats too who were around the same time as him, just remember these guys were doing what we do back in the 60's.

Kool Herc actually quited DJing for a long time due to being attacked and stabbed at a party he threw in the Bronx, but he's back on it now.
It's also rumoured that he or actually an old lady in his appartment block actually coined the phrase Hip Hop (Or Hippety Hop as the lady alegedly said).

All the best

hahah....wow.

Yeah, I'm not much of one for buying signatures...as someone else said, signatures are for me remembering a moment.

That being said, I could see this MAYBE selling for like $3,000 for the pair....anything more than that is just ridunculous.

Probably not even that...more likely something like $1500.

I would buy them, but then I would have less money to buy spinning rims for my Cadillac.
