-- Headphone Cord on the Right
Headphone Cord on the Right
i assume most djs cue with the right ear...so WHY dont companies put the cord on that cup if you're going to be flipping the headphones around anyway? no disrespect to da left-cuers, but it'd be nice to hear peoples' takes on this.
yes i know some companies enable you to switch the position of the cord, but im talking about a total industry rework here.
what will you liberals try to change next?

i cue with my left ear
This is why I have always worn my headphones reversed.....
I CANNOT have the cord on my left hand side...it drives me up the wall.
I switch. If I have the record to the left on cue then I open up my right ear and vice versa for the other side.
Don't laugh!
Depends what side the monitor is on for me... My house its on my right, so I cue with my left ear, at my mates house there is one one each side of the booth, so I cue back and forth between them.
let them please move the cable to the right. i use my left ear and its harder to hold the cup in your head and ear since the wire is always pulling it down.

RPDJ-1210 also have the cord on the right...
Cord to the left... and cue to the left...
This is kinda funny because i tryed to cue with my right ear last night for something a little different, it freaked me out.
I can use any cans really I more so prefer the swivel design because I hang them around my kneck to mix with... never over the top of my head. Thus the cord is hardly a problem.
Wow, I thought I was the only one with this problem.
Yeah, I cue with my right ear. It's amazing how weird it is to try to do it with my left. I only flip around my headphones when I'm spinning at home and it's like...1:00 am on a tuesday, so I'm playing entirely in my headphones with split cue.
Relatedly, have you ever noticed, too, that clubs...if they only have one monitor, always have it on the right side? Assuming you're cueing with your left ear? Emerald City for example? Somebody should have told me I was doing it backwards oh so many years ago

cue with left or right ear, i dont like using just one ear all the time, it gets sore with the "scratching" sound all the time, so changing it up regularly works for me
LOL, you guys actually look at all aspects of Spinning he he...
I think the only way of wearing headphones that would actually bother me is if someone wrapped the chord around my neck and then stuck the jack plug in my ass...
Cheers
