Dont ever go to club 338.
I and all other OCAD students who attended had one of the worst experiences at this club on friday. i am a student at ocad, and every year at this time we have a "beaux arts ball" this is like a big costume party ball that the school has been having for the past 100 years or so. this year we were suposed to have the party at BOA, but because of the shooting they moved us to club 338 2 days before the big party.
this is what happened at the party, and this is why you shouldnt go to this shitty club.
-they wouldnt let my friends in because they didnt look like their ID, it was a costume party..
-they made you spit out your gum before entering the club because they sell it there.
-they wouldnt give out cups of water, you had to buy it.
-the bouncers were making obscene pervy comments to a lot of the girls including me
-they wouldnt let you go on the dancefloor if you had a drink, i was grabbed from the dancefloor by a bouncer and got my drink splled all over me and told that i couldnt go on the dance floor with a drink.
-while it was raining outside they rolled up the awning so the people that were outside were getting soaked.
-my boyfriend was grabbed by a bouncer and yelled at for going through the wrong entrance, while he was going to the bar, the bouncer freaked out and there was nothing saying that you had to use specific areas, this club was smaller that systems main room, and it was just an elevated level to the bar.
- they also called last call way early, then turned the lights on at 2:15 and kicked everyone out,
-the owner of the club was smoking behind the bar, luckily we got a photo of him doing it, they wouldnt give my friend back his cell phone and we used it as a threat to get the cell phone back.
this is the main kicker- ( from the retelling os his GF)the manager, whom we shall now refer to as "pinky" was standing behind the bar. adam asked if he was serving and the guy didn't say anything. adam asked again and the guy showed him his keys and said "what does it look like?" that didn't make much sense, so adam asked again, the guy took a plastic cup and smashed it on the counter and sprayed tonic water on adam. to which adam ignored, and asked the girl bartender who walked by.
so the manager came out from behind the bar, stood in front of adam and said "do you wanna ask that again?" then he grabbed adam, started punching him and the bouncer grabbed adam, put his arms behind his back and dragged him out, all the while the manager is still punching him and slapping the back of adam's head.
and then, as we are waiting outside for the cops, the bouncers outside rolled up the awning we were standing under because it was raining outside.the cops said nothing could be done, because pinky had a whole bunch of people saying that adam spit on him, and we have witnesses as well who can prove otherwise."
so dont waste your time at this shit hole, dont go to club 388.

well thanks, i just couldnt believe the treatment eveyone got from that club. i used to go out a lot and i havent experienced anything like that before. i mean i have had a couple crappy experiences at some big clubs , but nothing like this, and this club was pretty small too. i hadnt even heard of it before
what the fuck...that's gotta be the worst thing i've heard happen to anyone at a club ( short of getting shot 
)

yeah and another person just told me that one of the bartenders asked him for a better tip.
that's horrible! I'm sorry you guys were treated so badly, I would report this to OCAD to see if they can do anything about it. You may even be able to get a lawyer. Letting other ppl know about what happened like what you are doing now is key as well. Hopefully TA's that read this board will repost this on other local EDM boards as well!

ISNT IT CLUB338 AND ARENT THEY THE ONES WHO TYPE IN THE BIG AND EXCITING CAPS SO PEOPLE JUST LOSE THEIR SHIT WHEN THEY SEE A POST LIKE THIS AND ITS WICKED AND EVERYONE ON TA SHOULD GO OMG.
I STILL LOVE THEIR EVENT THREADS.
That really sucks. I mean, this is bad enough treatment, that I would copy/paste everything you just wrote and put it on every Toronto/clubbing/edm/etc board there is.
Bullshit that people can act like that when you are spending YOUR money to keep them open!! (or if it was free, then you are spending money to go to school, which is paying for the party!!)

yeah sorry i guess it is the old pulse,, it had a pulse sticker on the mirror at the bar,, but i didnt really recognize it on the inside.. must have moved things around...
anyway yeah, one of the girls on student council took the photo so hopefully it turned out. if anyone else wants to copy and paste this and post it on other threads that would be really cool.
the owner of that club needs to go out of buisness. thanks for all the support guys.
I played there last year. It was shifty.

with enough complaints, they'll lose their liquor license or at least have it suspended for a while. If there were witnesses, I'd also demand that police file assault charges against the bounder and owner/manager.
well they did call the cops to the club, and they arrived, but the manager of the club said that adam spit on him, which he did not, and so the manager says he has witnesses that he did , and we have witnesses that he didnt. adam isnt a confrontational guy nor would he conduct himself in this kind of behaviour.
so the cops basically said that they would have to go to court and etc etc.
there is a laywer at ocad for the students to tlak to , and i think they may talk to him about it and see what can happen. that kind of assult just isnt right.
and adam is fine for those wondering.
and i am not too jaded frank, you will still see me out on the dancefloor soon enough, once school is wrapped up, but you wont catch me at the shit hole they call a club 338.

these guys went as lines of coke, they were lying on a big aluminum foil cut out on the middle of the dance floor wiggling it was pretty funny.
Some of the bartenders at the guv don't give u cups of water either... but seriously... screw MAINSTREAM!!!! TiL and the Guv any day for me!..
isnt it required by law that free water has to be available? or is it better to have someone pass out in your club?
