look at all the atb threads...

it scares me seriously... especially when people start sharing his tunes

to prevent this thread from total oblitoration through the mods, hehe. ill join the cheese party n say what was your fave ever atb production?

NOTE: i don't actually give a damn, but mine was dont stop *hides*

Posted by speedracer_mec on Jan-31-2002 00:10:

Talking well

atb was never cheese...... in fact....its just his tracks really hit the mainstream. But anywayz....my favorite track from him was......

william orbit- barber adagios for strings ( atb remix)

Posted by Piet on Jan-31-2002 00:14:

I always liked certain atb songs, but i think the man himself sometimes acts a little cheesy - ie at live performances and stuff.

I kind of liked ATB - Let You Go

Posted by Ste on Jan-31-2002 00:18:

cheese to me is anything that is aimed at the charts rather than the clubs, if u know what i mean. sum1 will probs try n twist my words now coz they wont know what i mean but hey!

Posted by speedracer_mec on Jan-31-2002 00:20:

true

yeah...he WUZ cheese...lets hope this time his comeback is for the better

you got that right. it's even more emotional than corsten's remix.
let u go was kinda fun.

i was just gonna mention that myself: sometimes people just start talking about an artist and the conversations seem so... empty, i dunno.

like the most recent one, i think, was the scooter threads. now same with atb. just let it go peeps, why does everyone hate him so much? what has he done to you? if he is cheese, fine, be so. but why don't you bring up alice deejay or ian van dahl or sumfn? why do you always take a shot at poor andre? he's like the bill gates of cheese -> everytime there's talk about cheese, someone starts insulting atb.

Posted by tranStreemAdmin on Jan-31-2002 04:14:

nobody will agree wit me most likely....i like get high on the new album along with his remix of tenshi

Posted by Adjacent_raver on Jan-31-2002 11:11:

his remix of Tukan- Light a Rainbow is my fav. piece of work done by ATB

Posted by tu_face on Jan-31-2002 11:57:

all together now...

bebowow bipbipbewowowbep

although 9pm was good til the entire world drained it of any quality by playing it 90000 times...

the rest are just 9pm in a different order. i havent heard any of his newer stuff, but i dont want to either.

Posted by Ste on Jan-31-2002 15:55:

dadadada wown, dadadada wown, dadadada wown, dadadada wown wum,

ooops sorry i was singing summat else

i have to agree, ATB ain't cheese

he just hit it big
compare him to alice deejay, ian van dahl or (why hasn't this one been mentioned?) ATC
ATB may be poppy but you can't knock his tracks, the complexity and depth in some of them makes them easy anthems, just 'cuz everyone loves them doesn't mean they ain't good
and yes we ALL loved 9 AM till I come until t's constant replay made it lose all it's charm
i would compare it to Words by PvD, a comparably big hit, but who would dare say PvD is cheese?

Posted by Tranex02 on Jan-31-2002 21:39:

The first song i liked was 9 PM.....that was when it first came out..
another would be -the summer.....

Posted by JM on Feb-01-2002 00:54:

yeah yeah,...we were all jumping around when 9pm came out, i dont think it was aimed at charts, just cought on and well, took off, it was a non-trance friendly track that WAS trance.....and most of us loved that tune as well....

>JM<

i liked ATB - 9PM Till I Come
it's a grea song but way overlayed
i haven't had the chance to hear it for a long time...
so i wouldn't mind hearing it now

Posted by ABTsportsline on Feb-01-2002 09:13:

Don't stop was pretty decent....

and his remix of barber's adagio was good...

but my favorite was his remix of Miss Jane's "its a fine day"... that song may be considered primera cheese, but i still have a soft spot for it.. and still have the vinyl too

me. i always say PvD's productions are cheezy. im not joking either...

and dont stop was just 9pm backwards... originality = 0

although it was fun making a bootleg of dont stop & 9pm.. it went:

"dont stop... til i come"

muahahahahahaha

Posted by Werewolf on Feb-01-2002 17:11:

I used to like Dj Tandu - Liebe (Atb Remix) very much...old song, but I still like it...

All the 'mericans? Shit i'll shake your hand. I think its the Canadians that are most hell-bent on PvD. Maybe a handful of Americans, but thats b/c they don't know of any other DJ's. Give them a break, this IS america after all...

You know another funny thing... most Germans on here don't care for PvD.... and i say this with conviction b/c i know...

I think he's "aight", but definitely sick of everyone saying he's "god" on here.... sick of seeing his pictures in every sig & avatar... (no offense tta)

quit raggin' on americans

why's it so fashionable to rag on americans?
PvD isn't the end-all of trance but how is he cheese? I wouldn't say he's shooting for the charts
can you guys agree on a sucessful DJ that's not "cheese"?
what is it about being unsucessful that makes bands and DJ's cooler?

just to prove that silly americans know more about trance than PvD, Oakenfold(who BLOWS), Sasha, Digweed, and fucking Alice Deejay here's the good the bad and the ugly on my playlist right now

DJ Pleasurehead - Better Off Alone
DJ Scott Henry - Mr. Kirk's Nightmare
Roger Sanchez - You Can't Change Me (Harry Choo Choo Romero Mix)
Circuitboy ft. Alan T - Jonesing
Dave Ralph live at Karma 9-25-99
Everything but the Girl - Wrong (Deep Dish Remix)
(mislabled) - Dirty Dirty
Atlantis vs Avatar - Fiji (Lange remix)
Ocean Lab - Clear Blue Water
Orinoko - Island (Thrillseakers remix)

some of it is quite old, but still, good stuff

I don't think PvD is cheese... in fact i hate the word "cheese".... people use it to describe everything except for what it IS: great dairy product!

Regardless of how good PvD is, his portrait and name is plastered over every other person's sig and Username on this site. That is what i was referring to.

And i will bash americans, haha! I am american, i know how most americans are (see: stupid), and i fight for them in the military. I like the country, just not the people! (and i'm sure many will agree)

heheh, Cheers!
