HappyHappy Hyper! Live..noice!

u guys know dj hyper. now check out his all star band:

quote:

Hyper 'LIVE'

This exciting, new unsigned band from the UK, have just completed their debut album and begin
a series of LIVE dates this week - we hope to see you at one of the show's detailed below!!!

THE BAND:
This album is a fusion of punk rock influenced electronica. Although a new band, the members are not
short of pedigree and musical history that include guitars from Jim Davies (The Prodigy LIVE line up),
vocal collaborations from Leeroy Thornhill (ex Prodigy), Wildchild (hot US rapper), Dirty
Harry (UK rock singer) and upfront new MC, Xander.

The album ducks and weaves between thrashy guitars, firing beats and melodic synths while tipping a
nod to the 80s sound.
Exciting and fresh this is your chance to see the band LIVE for the first time performing tracks
from the album.

Noice indeed.

Gotta love groups who look to push the boundries of music.

Tracks are awesome.

the tracks sounded well done but I'd like to see them a year or two from now when they have refined how they all play live together a bit better I think it would be a much more evolved sound.
It sounds a little to experimental right now to me.

Ableton is a sick program but I personally don't like the idea of clicking a mouse button to make music. This is why I have always kept with live hardware, both for production and playing live. It's much more hands on and feels more like I'm actually playing an instrument rather than a laptop. Of course it limits me in some ways but I'd rather work harder to compensate for that than give in to the dark side.

well u can use live with midi controllers and instrument inputs as well

mouse clicking is only for moving between windows and selecting samples/synths (that too u could program on midi if really neccessary)

ya I know and the guys that do that are fine, but I still like having my blinking lights on my sequencer and samplers running in front of me. I don't mind the guys that have a computer running ableton as a processor for everything with patch cords running out to real gear and instruments, but I don't want to see another perfromance like Astral Projection played at Wemf last year... just getting tanked and clicking thier laptops. I love the guys and have ventured pretty far on some sketchy missions to see them before but I didn't like the wemf set given it was declared 'live'.

Live proformances should be as interactive with the stuff used to create the tracks as humanly possible. A little help for the hard parts from the gear is fine, but don't pre-program everything.

btw thanks for the video link... dl'ing it now.
