Drunk I am an uber fan

I'm officially crazy.

I just dropped $213 for ONE TICKET to see INXS at the Avalon Ballroom in the Fallsview Casino on May 18, four days after I see them in Toronto, and for the fourth time in about 5 months.

Is there anyone that you guys would drop all for to see?

maybe i would if the verve reunited and played mostly stuff off of their ep and first two albums.

that is some serious cash though. i won't even go see depeche mode for $100.

i might pay $200 to see queen. with freddie, and if they played their entire Greatest Hits II cd....

chicane and moshic

that's pretty hardcore.

the only time i'd ever pay that much for a ticket would be a world cup soccer game.

The closest to my obsession:

$450 for two 4th row tickets, center stage, Tom Petty in Pittsburgh, summer 2002

This summer:

$200 for Bonnaroo ticket and 3.5 hours of TP
$50 on lawn tickets here in Michigan

Tom Petty is God.

That's all you need to know.

It was my graduation from college present to myself - worth every penny.

And a 3.5 hour set at Bonnaroo?! I will survive the mud, the lack of shower, the hippies, and more for that. There's no seating so I will just be right there in front of him again - this time with camera!

I've paid $189 for U2. I would pay good money to see Robert Smith and Radiohead.

However, I would kill to see Dallas Green in concert right now. City and Colour is awesome.

www.bonnaroo.com

Giant Hippie Music Festival, 3 days of tunes.

Tom Petty, Radiohead, Beck, Bonnie Raitt, and more. Heck, Sasha is on there for some odd reason...

I suppose the word fan is short for 'fanatic' for nothing.

I did that pretty much every other weekend during highschool for 3 years to see Toronto Locals! I've slept in Union station many times as a result aswell as missing my train stop and ending up in Montreal once. My partner in crime in highschool was occasionally confined to the school and couldn't break out to come with me so I often went solo. After Highschool I moved to waterloo and often drove retarded amounts to parties, ie mardi gras in new orleans 21 hours STRAIGHT THROUGH. I have also slept in Port Authority and Grand Central station on sunday early AM's countless times for an hour or two until my bus/trains got going again for the day.
The most I've paid for a ticket is likely wemf. The most I've paid in travel/food/accomadations to see someone play is arguably $1,200, Flying to Rome and then backpacking to Athens for X-dream a few years back. Although obviously while I was over there I did more than just go see x-dream.

Holy shit. EXACTLY what I was gonna say. Only Queen.

My runner up would be Prodigy though.

I'm contemplating Bonnaroo this year.
