Lucky you, you should be happy with that.

vertigo, if u can change the battery on my ipod mini i'd pay u!

I heard there was a flaw in the buffer for the larger iPods. If you play long shows, such as radio shows or live sets, the buffer doesnt work properly and it just constantly reads from the hard drive. This really wears down the battery. Happened to a friend of mine, and he said it was a common problem. He was getting max 2 hours out of it.

Can anybody confirm this?

^^^ This happens on all iPods and large files. The older versions would skip like a badass because the harddrive is not fast enough to output the file you want in realtime. I get it all the time.

About your battery stuff, MSN me. Apple charges an exorbitant amount to do it, and if you're out of warranty they will rape your face off to replace it.

Talk to me about any iPods except the new Videos and Nanos, as I don't have batteries for those. But why would your Video or Nano need a battery already anyway, right?

I'm crossing my fingers, but so far my ipod video still lasts about 8-9 hours.

Posted by Playa24_7 on Apr-05-2006 11:12:

^ I still havent used mine (while listening to music) longer than the 40minutes it USED to take me to get to work. I've watched movies on it on my lunch break at work. After an hour of the video going, the battery is in the red.

Cale, srsly, methinks you could make some good cash doing IPOD battery replacements!

Posted by King Luis on Apr-05-2006 13:26:

i have a 20 gig photo and haven't had any problems since i got back in october.
i listen to dj sets all the time. i'd get a good 6-7 hours out of it before it hits red. i tend not to let it completely drain though.
the trick is to use not change tracks or volume a lot and use hold a lot. i noticed it saves battery life greatly.

btw, if your going to be sending him porn, add my email to the list

And if you're going to be sending Cale porn...add me to your "be afraid of" list.

P.S. Let Cale change your iPod batteries so he can make money and take me somewhere nice to eat. I'm hungry.

Undoubtedly. Apple charges upwards of $180 CAD depending on your model of iPod all said and done (they wanted $179 to change my 3G battery last summer, hah!) and I can do it for about half that.

Oh yeah, need a new headphone jack module? Apple quoted me $310 CAD.

Cale,

Can you get me a Lithium Polymer battery for my Ipaq H3600? I've seen it at batteries.com, but rather get locally.
