Would anyone have any programming tips for those acid fx sweeps you hear in mostly every trance track now a days? sorry I cant post any sounds, but if you know trance you know exactly what im talking about.

I'm not sure what you are talking about. Could you post an example mp3 file from a song?

Again looking for production tips on the programming the sound not to get a tutorial about th freq cuttoff lol

Complex Synth sound -> Hi resonance filter cutoff modulation -> heavy distortion.

It's easier than a supersaw.

Monkey Dancer 2

Can anyone tell me what synths or production methods ASYS came up with to get this type of sound. I mean it sounds like it could just be the old TB 303 but is there any other way to achieve that style acid sound with any other sytnh. I have the3 Virus TI, JP 8080, and MS 2k is it possible to get that sound out of any of those? Also any of the acid effects int the Vengence clubsounds. How do they make them? I want to make them for myself obviously to automate and change the parameters but can't figure out how to come up with these sounds in the first place. Here is the ASYS acid for refence. Thanks in advance.

Cheers to all

Check out "Bassline" from Audiorealism, a very good simulation of the good old tb-303. If I'm not misstaken it has recently came out a second version, so maybe you should check it out.

Phocyon is tighter, more options for the shaping of the distortion. its just coo.. period

I'm going to try that sound today. I could probably get the sound on my Virus, but I prefer using audiorealism bassline as its a LOT easier with the step sequencer, but its sound is a bit too pure, so Im going to play around dirtying it up, I'll let you know how it went.

Use the "Vocoder Swirl" waveshape and mess around with the Shift.
