Jester [psytrance] J:\Digital - April 2006 pSychadelic SnaX

Well, I've decided to jump on the "monthly demo" bandwagon..

I just recently got back into DJing after a 9month hyattis (as some of you know), and with my return have ventured into a new genre for spinning and new medium for spinning.

This is my first record Psytrance set on CDJs, so the mixing isn't as tight as I like it to be.. However I am looking for a review of some sort on the flow of the mix.

I do pre-apologize for the trainwreck going from GMS --> Tikal..

Tracklist:

1. Psycraft - Borderline (Remix)
2. Shanti Matkin - Alter Ego (Original Mix)
3. Shanti & Frequency Surfers - In The Nick Of Time (Original Mix)
4. Dali - Colors Band (Original Mix)
5. GMS - I Can Feel Da Music (Original Mix)
6. Tikal - Experience (Original Mix)
7. GMS - Juice (Live Version)
8. Sidhartha - 21 Grams (Original Mix)
9. Xerox & Illumination - Assimilation of Reality (Original Mix)
10. Astrix - Poison (Original Mix)
11. Exaile - Let Loose (Original Mix)
12. Pixel - Happy Lepsia (Original Mix)

megaupload is the worst I've ever seen. I am trying to download the set now, and if the time estimation is right, it will take 12 hours (I got 4mbit). I've never seen anything that slow since my modem days. Okay, I'm a little negative here, but you could upload it somewhere else as well?, e.g. rapidshare.de or yousendit.com? .. most people will be scared away from downloading by this.

As for me, I will take a listen. In 12 hours

Yea,
Will definitely re-up it somewhere else when I get home after this weekend..

Sorry guys.. Working to get my own hosting/site up..

First of all, I'm not an everyday psy listener, but once in a while, I'll feel like listening to some. Like anything else, I'm looking for something that's original and makes me dream a little. This mix starts off with a pretty nice beat and stunning vocals (didn't know vocals could be used like this in a set...) All in all its very well mixed, maybe it could've been a little better but it certainly isn't disapointing. I would've like to hear some kind of a climax in the middle of the set and a nice last track to finish it off, but hey, I dunno how psy is done since I mainly listen to trance sets. 8/10 for me, and will be looking forward to hear other set from J:/Digital

sorry

Yo man..

I was about to download until I read sorry about the trainwreck.

Don't take this the wrong way, but trainwrecking for DJ's is unacceptable.

Do not plan to download, but tracklist looks rocking!

peace

Thanks for the review man.. TBH, this was my first psy set that I recorded.. at the time I had been playing any serious psy sets.. so this was basically my first DIVE into psy.. been working on my track selection since I made this..

Thanks again for the comments.. keep an eye open for my May Demo.
