Reverse bass sound

This is from Above & Beyond - Can't sleep, just wondered if any of you guys know how to get this bass sound? I know its a reverse bass, But do I need to put it into a sampler, and reverse it. Is it that simple? Or is there a way of doing it in say, V-Station by synthesis?

You'll get the best effect with sidechaining.
