Addicted-mixed by Luke Chable & Kosmas Epsilon-Platipus

Addicted (a-dik-tid) adj. 1. to cause to become physiologically or psychologically dependant on a habit forming substance. 2. to occupy (oneself) with or involve (oneself) in something habitually or compulsively.

What is ADDICTED & how did it come into being?

LUKE CHABLE remixed the Platipus classic “2 Full Moons & A Trout' 2006 and it was through this meeting, that Platipus discovered his 'dependency' towards the label & how it shaped him as a DJ. Likewise with KOSMAS EPSILON (who also remixed '2 Full Moons…' on spec.) shared his 'compulsive' collecting of all things Platipus, back in the day.

CHABLE: With over 70 productions and countless remixes attributed to his name, it is testament to Chable's talent that each new release is keenly anticipated by his growing legion of fans. Three of Renaissance's most popular compilations all included Chable tracks - Hernan Cattaneo's, Dave Seaman's & Sander Kleinenberg's. His remix portfolio includes Sasha, Bjork and Gus Gus.

KOSMAS: first ever release, was a bootleg remix of FC Kahuna's 'Hayling' (Loaded). Charted by James Holden & included in his Balance compilation, Sasha's Fundacion followed, then Nick Warren's GU album Shanghai, and four tracks feature on Dave Seaman's This Is Audio Therapy - a massive coup & compliment for any producer.

His tracks have been released on Heavy Rotation, Precinct, Audio Therapy, EQ Grey, Alternative Route, Deep, Secret Planet, Babylon and Hatch Music. He's played alongside the A-list - Digweed, Tong, Phil Thompson, Phil K, Seb Fontaine. In 2004 he was crowned Best New Greek DJ and has played in Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Mar Del Plata & Pinamar Argentina (five times), Lima Peru, Punta Del Este Uruguay, Brussels Belgium, Tokyo Japan, Jakarta & Yogya Indonesia, Turkey, Netherlands, Romania, Portugal and Greece.

Luke & Kosmas have had complete autonomy & authority in selecting the tracks.

thanks for explaining the word "addicted"

anyway, this should be good

Looks and sounds pretty good by the samples. Need to take a better listen in a store later on.

Hey why your remix of 'Two Full Moons And A Trout' didn't end up on the '06 release? All the released new mixes aren't too great... yours is good compared to them even if the original '93/'94 batch of mixes is pretty impossible to improve.

HUGE! Kosmas, you're one of my favourite producers (if not the best). Keep on producing quality music, just like you have been doing. I'll definitely buy this one.

Cheers from Peru

still love the hayling remix!

is there any chance it gets a release kosmas? officially or whitelabel - doesn't matter!

Posted by benni on Apr-07-2006 20:17:

I can't figure out how I listen to those samples

Posted by Jasperovitsj on Apr-07-2006 21:16:

Disc 2 looks ace, but disc 1 looks a bit too "alternative" for my liking.
