What the easiest EDM genre to produce?

What do you think is the easiest genre to produce?

I think its electro, cus it doesnt have some patterns to follow, is kinda: insert some cool blip-blop sounds and its done... I'm not talking bad about electro, I like it...
I think gabber/hardcore is easy too...

It could be interesting if the talented producers taht post here could answer this too, like foyle, haak, elevation, niklas harding...

i think it's pretty easy to make any terrible song in any genre...but hard to make a good one in any genre...

I'm not sure that any one genre is really easier to produce than another - it's down to the producer(s) and how much effort they want to put in until they're personally satisfied with the result.

There's no difference in the actual production procedure, no matter what you do. The only difference is in the execution of the ideas.

for those of you who say things like "electro" and "minimal", a lot of the time things that seem to be the simplest are actually the most complex, well thought out things.

Probably if the question were, what's the easiest genre to make bad music, it would be something like minimal, but I would argue that it's probably the hardest to make good music at the same time.

I just find it incredibly amusing that you make an uncountable number of posts more that cut people down than you do any productive. It's unfathomable to me. If you can actually state something that doesn't tell someone what an idiot they are, I might actually stop.

What I don't understand, though, is your need to comment things I say. What's your point? If you want to post to me about something that has nothing to do with the actual topic then send me a PM, there's no need for you to turn every thread into a shit-slinging fest.

I can't say I really give a shit about your little campaign there, however people like you who only scratch the surface and claim to know everything about my posting habits make me sick. So keep it up if you want - if anything, it'll just encourage me to get really pissy just to piss you off even more.

thats a very stupid thing to say... of course there are differences! you can produce a trance track with no understanding of recording, no knowledge of any kind of synthesis other than subtractive, perhaps not even that. when talking about genres on a whole, some are alot more complicated that others, that is pretty obvious. i would say the easiest in my experience and personally for me so far would be the typical trance sound that is so common these days. it doesnt take a huge amount of effort or skill to cook up a basic trance record. in my experience anyway

an engineer knows he is finished not when there is nothing to add, but when there is nothing to take away.

i would say technically its one of the easiest as well. you can pack a trance track full of lots of little sounds until it sounds full.. if its not quite there yet you can throw in some other random little synth or whatever. what IS difficult is making a track with alot less sounds, which still sounds full. becasue each sound has to fit perfectly in the mix.

"Jump" is easy to produce

to be fair, that was quite hypocritical. you are quite often posting copletely pointless replies to peoples quite reasonable comments or questions. like in this thread for example. why bother?
