glowsticks

im just wondering what the general tota population thinks about glowsticks.

i thought i saw 2 other polls about this in the past week ?

I used to love dancing with glowsticks (in fact I couldnt dance without em when I first started going to clubs).

But now I just use them for decoration reasons. I dont like giving lightshows or sitting there and watching them.. but it is sometimes kool to look at when dancing.

but here is what i think about glowsticks.
i hate them. i cant stand them.
i used to like watching 'lightshows' when i first started partying. after a few months of that i realized that 99% of the glowsticking population dont have the slightest clue what they are doing. now it is simply annoying. if im sitting down and some clown tries to give me a lightshow i usually just give them a dirty look so they will go away.

the ONLY time i appreciate personal lighting is when it is glowstringing/fire poi and it is done PROPERLY with expertise.

thre were these 2 dudes at system, they would stick the clowsticks in their shoes and have 2 more in their hands and would dance...those guys were skilled..moreso since they had the dancing skills, they would just dance and that was a lightshow in itself


other than that, i cant stand glowsticks....ESPECIALLY WHEN PEOPLE PUT THEM IN WATER BOTTLES!!!

my boy does crazy stringing and is extremely good at freehand glowsticking too, but at guvernment there is absolutly no space for him to string in the guv. Although, i'm going to try to convince him to get on the platform right after the dancers get off so he can be the only one on there and show his stuff. You'd be impressed. Trust.

But the beauty about our club scene is that..

If you love dancing, you can dance.

If you love glowsticking, you can glowstick.

If you love walking around and wandering, you can do that too (JUST STAY AWAY FROM THE FUCKING DANCE FLOOR!!!)

Its all about having fun. (except for the few drunkin idiots who go there to start fights)

when i see glowsticks i cringe in embarassment. especially people sitting on the floor getting lightshows. hey! let's advertise that we're fucked up!

also, a glowstick hit my friend in the eye and scratched her cornea. and i've had several near misses with glowstickers flailing about.

I've never been a fan....they do my head in.

Some people are obsessed in them though - my sister sold her glowsticks at a party for $50 once! LOL

I do fire poi, and yes, I'm skilled enough at it that you'd be impressed rather than annoyed. It's hard to learn, but pretty safe if you know what you're doing. I also do some diabolo spinning and staff twirling, but I've never tried a fire diabolo. It might be fun though.

But yea... glowsticks are fun, glowstick poi is great but not something I'd do at a club.

It's been a while!

if anyone ever asks ne if i want a "light show" i ask them if they have lasers in there pocket. it may not sound funny now but the looks we get from these people is hilarious.

I fucking hate glowsticking. Anyone who glowsticks is fucking lame.

I use to be a fan of glowsticks. but now I prefer not to use em!!!!!
either way im stiull having fun...... I think the poll should be do you hate people who give light shows and push you out of the way, so drugged up people can stare at lights and get tripped out. hahah
