Concerning this section

Ever think of changing it to Northeast USA? Christ, half the posts in this area cover events in citys other than NYC. No disrespect of course

Does it really bother you that much?

Heres the reason... there isnt much of a night life out there on the east coast outside of New York City. DC has good parties, but not as frequently and often and almost religiously every weekend like NYC.

Id say, 65-70% of the parties posted here are NYC... the rest are a combination of PA, DC, Boston, CT, and NJ

if you are a hot girl we can get it to be changed

you know a board is going south when you see a a thread recycled 10+ times

There must have been... atleast 3, maybe 4 polls about it. But you gotta admit, its extremely consistent - the question always comes up every year.

same thing about our inactive mod

fact of the matter is, it will be the way it is, there hasn't been any real issues with the way things are being ran here in NYTA. I mean most of us do a swell job of policing it and Tom basically organizes every freakin party from DC to Boston in the Party Planner Thread...I don't see what else we really need besides that thread for parties in areas outside of New York.

sorry, the parties might be posted there....but they are not limited to ny. i go out every weekend here in dc and i am consistently seeing good djs. in the past 2 months alone, i have seen desyn, sasha (twice), steve porter, oakenfold, deep dish, sander k, miguel migs, the list goes on. if you think there "isn't a good nightlife outside nyc", then that's just you not having a brain and not seeing what's out there.

Well excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me Ms. PMS - no need to get all cranky about it. Maybe you should reread what I wrote before you start getting all pissy. The only place that is comparable to NYC with parties, is Miami - all other places just dont have the same night life. And its not like I said DC has shitty parties, I just said they dont come and go as regularly as they do in NYC.

In NYC you can get Tone Depth, Howells, Morillo and Burridges in one night. So there is a lot more happening here every weekend. More options

anyone who knows me knows i love nyc- but i gotta say, the whole "any other city besides new york sucks" attitude from the nytas really just blows.

you can appreciate new york without saying that other cities don't have it as good- because we may in fact do.

i had mad fun in philly and in DC - not sure who exemplifies that "any other city besides new york sucks" attitude, certainly not me...maybe a bit tension between boston but thats strictly baseball! lol and for the records, it doesn't seem like it was boston...just pedro ala mets last night =)

I dont think it was anyone on these forums that called NYC "the city that never sleeps" - and that coined phrase says it all.

many people say that nyc is the city that never sleeps but in truth...... i think it might be Spain

Sigh, women...

Fact is NYC has a better nightlife than any other city in the Northeast, why is that so hard to accept.

Are you kidding have you ever been to Transit? Avalon? Glow?...NYC is horrid

NYC is the center of the world...from clubs to musuems and from hotdogs to filet.

Posted by trancEyes22 on Apr-07-2006 18:53:

you know what, you are right people. there is absolutely NO possible chance there can be other cities with great clubs, culture, food, beauty....new york is the ONLY city in the world that has it all.

i never knew how close-minded (some) of the nytas really are. quite pathetic if you ask me..

You need to start reading between the lines, and stop reading what you want to read - I said that DC has a good nightlife, but its not as good as NYC, how hard it is for you to get that through your head?

battle royale thread people - please bring it over there

and there is plenty of great culture in other cities, not to mention food...trust me, the steaks here in the city don't compare to the steaks i had out in utah...lol then again my guess is the seafood is below par in cities furthest away from the coastline

Steaks in the country are always better, especially if you get the good wholesome organic stuff that came off some local farm - not some cow that was grown on some kind of growth hormone.

And as far as seafood, I heard Maine as some of the best.
