Exclamation Unable to burn CUE/MP3 with nero or alcohol

I have 'Gatecrasher Classics 2005' on 6 mp3's with Cue's for each. With Nero I tried using the 'Burn Image to Disc' it just freezes on a blank screen.

When I try with 'Alcohol 120%' it loads all the details, then I try and click next and I get an error message:

"Unsupported file format in C:/blah/blah/gatecrasher.cue, line 2.

Followed by another message:

"Unrecognised file format for recording! Please insert a recognised file format for recording!"

Here is the text in the .Cue file:
_____________________________________________________________________

PERFORMER "VA"
TITLE "Gatecrasher Classics"
FILE "02-va-gatecrasher_classics-usf.mp3" MP3
TRACK 01 AUDIO
TITLE "Barbers Adagio For Strings (Ferry Corsten Remix"
PERFORMER "William Orbit"
INDEX 01 00:00:00
TRACK 02 AUDIO
TITLE "Out Of The Blue (Original 12 Inch Version"
PERFORMER "System F"
INDEX 01 03:43:74

_____________________________________________________________________

I'm not sure why the brackets aren't closed, but it's like that in all of them. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks in advance,

- Tech

I've had the same issues before using Nero. Give CDRWin a shot. Version 3.9e or later. Stay away from the newer version 5.x as it sucks. CDRWin always burns an MP3 based on a cue better than any other burning software in my experience.

Here's another alternative:

1)Convert those mp3s to wavs and using some wav editor program split at desired cuepoints using the information from your cue file. After that throw your cue file in the garbage.

2)You will now have individual wav files or tracks. Load each track into Nero in your desired order and make sure these checkboxes are checked:
-Disc at Once
-No pause between tracks
-Remove Silence at end of tracks

3)Burn away.

I'm just trying CDRwin 3.9 now. If I can help it I don't want to be faffing about with converting and splitting, but I seem to be getting an error with CDRwin aswell.

I can load the .cue, and click 'Record Disc' it says:

"Error: 'START DOA RECORDING' command failed on device 1:1:0
Disc type not supported"

The disc is a regular 700mb/80min CD-R. I have no idea why it won't work, any suggestions Magnus?

Thanks

Well if all else fails, you can do what stevieboy is suggesting however there is a much easier way to do what he is suggesting.

Simply download Musicutter, a free program. Musicutter looks at your cue file, then automatically cuts up your MP3 file and even names the cut tracks for you all based on the .CUE file. Extrememly handy tool I use all the time.
