hi...i started this a couple of months back and ive just got round to finishing it...some of you may know my style by now - i dont stick to the normal structure of trance and flirt between darker melodies and more melodic meloncholic stuff.....Feedback always appreciated!

thanks for pointing me to this. i didnt see you had a new track out
this sounds lush! really nice string melodies. almost like orbital velocity - the last voyage..
your kick is too loud in the mix. and you could do with a nice bit of low bass to complement it. it doesnt seam like you have much bass in your bassline..
break- this is really nice! spacey and moving your melodies have always moved me.
one thing i notice is your melodies are off time with the 4;4 pattern. sounds fresh but puts me off a bit. the same was with primary reactor
listen to 5;09... the beat comes in one or two kicks too early. the track would be a lot more driving and less experimental sounding if you sort this issue out.
you need loads more low bass taking up some headroom imo. dont give it all to your kick. and maybe add a sound on top of the kick to make it sound less dry
overall this has all the factors i love about your productions. but an even more beautiful melody.. sort out these problems and send me a 320k by five o clock cos id love to play this in my set tonight.

Ive had a listen adam and overall the production quality is really good in this one. Its not my style of trance, so forgive me if im not constructive with the feedback m8.
Kick and Percs are nice in the one, the bass you got going could be a little louder as im having probs hearing but could be my monitors

Breakdown - Very nice synth you used there! What did you use to get that?
The Bass is actually much louder after the build up and sounds much better. More energy in the track now.
Overall i do actually like this tune bearing in mind i dont listen to this style of trance much, but i cant help but thinking its a little empty sounding at points ...

i like the progression in this track, but why isnt the melody in the end featured more..or the pads in the break?
or maybe they are but get "muffled out"
I hear alot of potential in the melody, but I would�ve wanted to hear it differently, but as you mentioned this isnt your "normal trance" track.

Very original piece. Your melodies are excellent, but that aside everything else is lacking. Sounds are quite plastic and mixing is not the best. The structure is basically good, but changes are too stiff. Progressive track should flow from start to end.
here comes the review.
nice track very dark, chill and epic, dreamy at same time, what must be sorted out is the hats feels like their cuting eachother , might be bad sample quality. how ever the kick is to flat try making it deeper, love the dreamy atmosphere you got here , I think you can make the buildup more energic but that�s a question of taste. keep it up, and the melody shoud be teaked an lifted some more maybe. other wise nice comp on it, every stage is good with new elements, track is done if the small things mentioned by us gets sorted, try adding some deep vocals to =) cheers - Mavve.

0:20. Nice pads. I really like it.
1:00. more pads, a little synth. The synth sounds like the timing on its attack does not match the percussion.
1:40. Yea... there's definitely a little timing issue with the percussion. Sounds like there is some shuffle in there, but inconsistently.
2:40. Pads are back. I like them, but the bass doesn't go with them at all... or really... there just isn't enough bass.
3:17. Now the percussion issue is pretty bad. It sounds like some of your percussion is shuffled and some of it isn't... or something weird. Also, the phrasing seems kinda off. There is some kinda 1 or 2 bar phase shift between when phrases of melody end and where new percussion comes in/goes away.
4:50. Synth sounds are neat, but muddy. Needs more attack or less sustain.
5:15. Bass is kinda annoying. It doesn't go with the melody and it has no flow at all... it just sounds like something humming away in the background.
6:40. Same comment about the synths and bass. The bass needs to carry the melody, and it doesn't.
So you've got a few issues to take a look at. I also think this track could use more percussion to make it more interesting. I really like the melody in the pads at the start; I'm disappointed that this wasn't brought out better in the rest of the track.
ok cheers for the comments Elyot,the reason for the percussion sounding shuffled is cos some of it is double delayed to give a fuller feel..to be honest i m pretty happy with this track...not many things i want to change..the basslines need tweaking i know..
this is just my style of trance - i dont like to stick to certain rules of normal producing..if i like the sound of my tracks i generally just leave them
