Drunk PvD Politics of Dancing VERSUS. Ferry Corsten Trance Nation 2001

Politics of Dancing versus Trance Nation 5(2001)???

i totally prefer Trance Nation 5(2001). I'm a big PVD fan, but i just dont like what he did with POD. It's SOOO monotone, same baseline throughout the cd's. A

t least Ferry keeps it varied and interesting, with the tunes which "lift" me up then take me down.....after all, this is the kind of trance i fell in love with in the beginning

which do you like better/ prefer more?

well, it was released as TRANCE NATION 2001.
came out way back before POD did.

POD is better.

Smiley DJ lol

You have all got to be kidding me......FERRY CORSTEN HANDS DOWN.....

look at that tracklist definitely smoking!>....by the way i dont like paul van dyks productions..only two songs i liked were from remix of tilt - rendevous and jamiroquaiuaiiauiduiaiia - avenues......

Posted by Biohazard on Feb-01-2002 06:48:

that CD is very old, it came out this summer

yes the tracklist is very sweet, I almost like all the songs that are on it. PvDs Cd is waay better though

Posted by E.Sv on Feb-01-2002 07:28:

Politics of Dancing for sure. Paul at least reworked the famous tracks, not just continuous mixing.

Posted by Swamper on Feb-01-2002 07:37:

PVD.

Posted by patticus on Feb-01-2002 07:46:

i agree with the similar bassline for almost every pvd track, except some tracks on POD he didn't re-do, which makes it ok.. (way out west, mirco de govia etc.)

ferry played some good tracks but lets face it, the trance nation series has gone to SHIT. waaaaaaay too many tracks, and waaay too much cheese, and flat-out Garbage songs that would hit the number one spot on my local radio station top 40 chart.

the first, original Trance Nation is still the best by eons...

so ya, pvd wins.

Politics of Dancing. No contest.

and that's why they sound the same...same baseline...all those toons sound like PVD tunes, indeed that's what he wanted to do....

ok i do agree with u on this one a bit...damm 17 tracks is a bit too much and a few cheese tracks yeah....thing is it's DIFFERENT, every tune is different and keeps me listening, intersted, where as POD just gets boring, like those monotone CALCULUS professors....fall asleep to that!

Its gotta be ferry, the dude had better songs on it than pvd.

BTW our best administrator makes a very big mistake while typing PVD. Paul van Dyk, "van" is always written small!

Posted by cosmix on Feb-01-2002 08:57:

PvD for sure

Posted by ABTsportsline on Feb-01-2002 09:09:

Someone complained that Trance Nation has too many tracks? man some people are just flat-out lacking consumer intelligence! That's like buying a car and complaining there's too much horsepower!!

In my eyes, the more tracks the better! (as long as they aren't the crappy 3-minute versions )

Anyway, POD was a real let-down for me.

Trance Nation 2001 wasn't the best CD of the year, but i am going to have to vote for it b/c too many favorites in there... None of the choons on POD really stuck out in my head.

I guess i am a "trance-addict" and not an "electronic-dance-music-addict".

POD for sure !!

Posted by Adjacent_raver on Feb-01-2002 11:45:

Ferry Corsten is the man of trance.. but since he doesn't pick which songs to include on the MoS trance nation discs that he mixes, i can't really compare albums

thats why i only listen to live sets.. coz its REAL

PAUL VAN DYK/VANDIT

ahhhh

greetz

Posted by PVD_S11DJ on Feb-01-2002 15:45:

IMO, theres really no question here. We have POD, one of the greatest comilations of all time, mixed by The Greatest DJ And Producer In The World himself. versus... A cheezy compilation in which Ferry didn't even get to choose the crappy tracks on it. Marc et Claude? YIKKKKES! And what a great idea to put Skydive on Trance Nation 5 after it was on Trance Nation.... 4! Ferry's an awesome DJ, but this one's gotta go to POD.

Posted by Astronaut on Feb-01-2002 15:52:

POD
