ok i'm nuts and i'm running out of smileys for TA personifications

awesome night. great show of TAs as well.. pretty much everywhere you went you'd run into a couple. i'd say a good 20 there? maybe more.

got there right at midnight, thank god we still got in free on bradley rose's list. danny was honestly a bit boring in the beginning.. but i was just so excited to be there i didn't care cuz i knew it'd get better around 2 and boy did it.

only things that really pissed me off were the stupid ass guys trying to dance with me or grabbing various body parts of mine. at one point i had my fists up. some drunk suit DORK even started to follow me around while trying to do these psuedo robot/breakdance moves RIGHT IN MY FACE to get my attention while i was trying to watch some of the actual breakdancers.. i usually hate when glowstickers or breakdancers create huge circles on the dance floor bc there's hardly any room to begin with, so i feel it's inconsiderate but considering the club was half empty and there was el mucho space, it was cool to watch.

it was so crazy watching those two gigantic white guys walking around the crowd, it was like gulliver and the fucking lilliputians. i swear i felt like a midget compared to him. i went up to him to ask him where he was from (he just didn't look like he was from ny for some reason) and i literally tugged his hand (which reached my stomach!) to get his attention. he told me he was 6'9"/6'10". and i just couldn't stop laughing bc he was macking it to every girl in the club and he literally had to squat down to grind with them from behind or hook up with them.

i was also very pissed off around 4:30am... i'm sitting on the stairs (since i dont have the "i'm special" bracelet) and still enjoying hte music immensely...and the bouncer made me get up, telling me i can't sit on the stairs because it's a fire hazard. so i yelled back "well what the fuck, so standing up ISN'T a fire hazard??! THERE'S NO PLACE TO SIT IN THIS GODDAMN CLUB!!!!" and he refused to respond. plus at that time, crobar was less than half empty!!!!!! i know they're probably just doing their job but i really would have stayed longer if i could have just fucking SAT DOWN somewhere for the LOVE OF GOD!!!!!!!!!! i'm fucking old ok!? i get cranky just like old people do when they're tired and can't rest their feet.

i can't even remember tracks that were played except for this one remix of everything but the girl. i think crobar's sound system really didn't justify danny howells AT ALL.

anyway: sid, where were you bro?

who stayed til the end? i was really loving the music but as ryan said in the lee @ cielo thread, sometimes the body disagrees with the mind..

Agreed 100%, I left at 4:30 my legs where just 2 tired, when will Crobar get some places to sit, BS...anyway....

Again I agree with Dani on everything, its been about a year since I have seen Danny, since I am not a fan of Spirit, but man last night I had such a good time, I love Danny, he did a great job. I know alot of people thought that Danny couldn't fill Crobar but he did, just enough. Room to dance and walk through the crowd that's perfect for me. The tunes where good, got the crowd dancing, Danny was having such a good time it was great. For those that didn't go you totally missed out, I am hoping that he comes back to Crobar again!!!

Final review: Thumbs up from me.

Oh and for the guys I am sure you all loved the chicks dancing on stage LOL what was that???

It's 5am. There are some bloop bleeps comin out of the speaker, the DJ's slowing it, makin us wait... everyone puts their hands up... bam, there it goes again. Everybody's dancing. I'm enjoying watching a super-dorky guy pull some robot moves; I'm laughing. Some chicken-legged chick in front of me is dancing in shorts, a bra, mid-calf socks, and sneakers, but I don't even care anymore. Suddenly a cloud of smoke surrounds me... the cannons go off and it's cold, so cold. Each person is isolated by the smoke; if you look around, it seems like each person has their own place in the smoke, a pocket for them. You are alone on the dancefloor. Out of the corner of my eye I see Jay starting a light show, flipping one red light and one white, throwing them, catching, to the tempo of the music.

It's a Danny "Fucking" Howells night.

I like Danny Howells.

I must say... best Crobar crowd in a long ass time!

I went to a house party in Queens and was planning on coming back to Crobar around 3ish. However the party was good and ended up spending the night in Queens.

This club was weird. I saw a good number of 40- an 50-year-olds. Also, single desperate guys standing around the wall, bemoaning the lack of girls (and indeed, there weren't that many).

I left early, did the situation change significantly?

What a great time. Howells was killing it imo and i had plenty of friends and ladies around all night so I had no complaints at all. Great seeing everyone that was there. You all know who you are. Picotto/DT next weekend and then Sander on the 21st. See ya all there and keep on dancing!

So I go over to the bar thats on the side of the dance floor. Here's the exchange that happened...

ME: Can I get a Bud Light.
GIRL: We don't have Bud Light.
ME: Oh... well what beer do you have?
GIRL: BUD... OR... HEINEIKEN!!!
ME (with a stunned look on my face): Umm... okay. You don't have to give me an attitude.
GIRL: Well you kept asking me.
ME: Ummm... I just walked over here. Maybe you're thinking of someone else.

I wanted to just buy the beer and then pour it on her head.

Crobar is retarded. Too bad DT and Picotto will be moved there next weekend instead of Spirit.

i hate that! you are so right!!!! i t makes no fucking sense at all!!!!! i havent been to your crobar but it was similar in miami at crobar where they didnt have anywher eto sit, only the vip are and a few bar chairs. annoying!
did you end up leaveing early cuz they wouldnt let you sit?

I had alot of fun.....wish we could have stayed longer!!

Whats Howells sound like these days, Im debating wether to see him or Gabriel and Dreseden in Boston this Friday.
