March/April 2006 demo! House, progressive house/trance, electro, and trance...
I haven't been posting many sets on here recently, so I thought I'd rectify that.
This one's a bit different than my usual mixes...it's more emulating my style in a club setting. Most of my CDs are made with home listening in mind, and are a lot more melodic/relaxing/etc. This one focuses more on intense basslines, catchy hooks...the sort of thing that makes you want to dance. They've just got more of a housy vibe, and the tempo's a little slower. Good good stuff.
This does run through the genres that I play a little bit quickly compared to how I would in a normal set ....it probably simulates like...a 3 hour set compressed to an hour and 10 minutes. Here's a tracklist:
Armin Van Buuren ft. Nadia Ali - Who is watching (Mischa Daniels remix) [Armind]
Kopi Luwak - Book of Water (Subtara remix) [CD-R]
Velvet Girl - Satisfy (Club mix) [Bonzai Trance Progressive]
Chab - Lover (Satoshi Tomiie 3D mix) [SAW Recordings]
Filo and Peri - Dance with a Devil (Serge Devant remix) [InTelligance Germany]
Ben Macklin - Release [Azuli Records]
Noir - My MTV (D Ramirez remix) [Toolroom Trax]
Above and Beyond - Alone Tonight (Disciples of Sound/Kid Lopez remix) [Anjunabeats]
Subtle Presents Subtara - Blue Midnight [CD-R]
Hiver and Hammer - Fusion 2006 [Somatic Sense]
Solar Stone - Seven Cities (Chris Bradley remix) [Lost Language]
BTW if anyone wants a CD copy, just send me your address and I'll get it out to you in 2-3 business days

I'm pretty sure I'm going to use this as my current demo...let me know what you think. If you like it, let me know. If it's shit...let me know
Nobody's listened yet?
If you have, feedback would be really good, regardless of if it's good or bad (actually, especially if bad). This set's slightly unconventional transitionally (haha, i feel like I'm talking about quantum physics)...I know I like it, and it's technically sound, but before I give it out I would like some opinions other than mine.
Doing some homework and giving it a listen now, I'll let you know what I think soon.
I am liking the first tracks so far, especially the guitar in the first one. Building up nicely so far. Satisfy is definently a song that would make me want to get on the floor, and I like the contrast between the light female vocals between that crunchy bass.
When I saw the 4th track, I immediately thought of what a sick track closer to me was, and the great job satoshi did with that, but this track fell short of my expectations. In a mix, I like to hit a peak at track 4 or 5 and while this track was good in didn't have nearly enough energy that I would look for building off of track 3, the keyboard breakdown is especially annoying and I think should be edited out. I think if you edit that shit out and perhaps cut this song a bit shorter, I think it'll help the flow a bit, as the song does get repetitive quickly.
I really like the transition into track 5. This song is more of what I was looking for, as far as tempo is concerned.
Track 6 keeps the pace going nicely and has enough layers to keep things interesting. The freakin download stopped at this point and I have shit to do, so hopefully this helps so far and Ill probably give it another listen later. Thanks for the mix.

i like this mix alot.. i find it especially important that the first tracks in a mix is interesting to listen too.. and track 1, 2 and especially 3 is well worth listening too.. while track 4 sets of another kind of "part" of the mix.. which sounds fine too me.. the mixing is nice.. i personally didnt fancy the last 2 tracks, but it doesnt mean they dont fit.. just too mushy for me .. good mix.. i had this mix on when i slept a couple of times.. i faded out at around track 3
strongest tracks:
Velvet Girl - Satisfy
Filo & Peri - Dance With The Devil (Serge Devant Remix)
Ben Macklin - Release
weakest track:
Hiver and Hammer - Fusion 2006
Solar Stone - Seven Cities (Chris Bradley remix)
Above and Beyond - Alone Tonight (Disciples of Sound/Kid Lopez remix)
