Connecting Mackie SRM450's to this mixer?
So I just baught a pair of SRM 450's, and I am going to directly connect the speakers to my PCV-275 mixer...
But I was told from a "friend" of mine that it gives a better sound if connected to a mixer.... he has it hooked up to this mackie micro series and he says it makes a significant difference?
I dont see how this would make a difference, and even if I were to purchase this mixer what would be the advantage of having it hooked to the mixer?... would I still be able to control speaker volume via my PCV-275??
any suggestions appreciated
Here is a link to the mixer I am referring to
mackie 1202-VLZ
i don't see how hooking it up to mixing board will improve the sound. all you will do is add the 1202's coloration/deterioration to the signal before it reaches the speakers. complete waste of time and money.
if you want to improve your sound, you can do one of two things (ideally both): 1) get a better dj mixer or(/and) 2) buy a sonic maximizer and a good graphic eq -optional. stick the sonic maximizer and eq between the pcv275 and srm450 and you're good to go.
cool, thanks a bunch
