I'd never heard of this game before but I got really into it watching that waiting for what would happen... but the animation sucks. I know it's supposed to be all old school graphics and shit but come on, it's a still picture half the time... or is that what old video games were like, they didn't do anything half the time? Enlighten me for I am a n00b... maybe I had to be around in the times of primitive animation to get it..

yea I know, I've seen it, but what makes the animation he did so cool? the fact that he drew it himself on the computer?

Posted by vtec junkie on Apr-13-2006 03:17:

RBI Baseball and Tecmo Super Bowl were both the shit!

he did EXACTLY what happens in game 6 of the 86 world series... play by play, it was perfect...

well, except for the Buckner error, in which (as you all know) the ball went through his legs.
but other than that, yeah, it's great

Funny how it showed Marty Barrett as the Player of the Game, and ironically, he would be the actual final out of that World Series.
The TV stations still do that, even while the game is still going on, and the outcome could still change. It happened again in last year's NLCS Game 5, when after the Player of the Game was named, Albert Pujols hit that monster home run to keep the Cardinals alive against the Astros.

That home run was launched, the look on andy peteits face was fucking priceless

painstaking used a nintendo emulator to successfully recreate that sequence

actually, it was Brad Lidge who gave up that home run, after twice being 1 strike away (first against Eckstein, then against Pujols) from sending the Astros to the World Series

But they cut to Pettitte on the bench and he mouthed, "Oh my gosh..."
