Accapella's

They are pretty damn hard to get a hold of, how have you lot got hold of them in the past?

I'm thinking old tunes too. I saw a site on here once that has since been shut down or something, since then. Nothing...

I aint gonna make money of the use of them, just would like to use some accapella's in my production to help me imporve my work with vocals, but its pretty hard when you cant get hold of them.

Are there and VOCAL sample CD's?

A couple free sites:

http://bootlegism.free.fr/bootlegism_acpellaeng.htm
http://nassau.globat.com/~beatbrokerz.biz/acapella/

and I dunno if www.acapellas4u.co.uk is still operational, but it's worth a check.

With regards to using them it's really no big deal unless you publish the work in which case you would have to clear the sample anyways.

I mean it is technically not allowed to share them on sites either as they have the same copyright rules as other tracks but the music industry has either overlooked this or seen it as an opportunity to make money so don't police it as hard. Not advisable to host your own site though as it could mean big trouble.

Cheers

Very useful, thanks chaps!

In particular I am after an Accapella of an old Epic House tune "Luce Drayton - To Be Loved"

Seemingly impossible to find, I might by some old 12" of it in the hope they may have the vocals on the B-side.

Alternativley, how sucessful is asking the artists? Not very I imagine...
