I suppose it's difficult to get reviews of an experimental track at a tranceaddict forum board.

No need to worry. We're mostly open-minded music wise, but alot of people do come hear for specific reasons.

Onto the track:

I'm not sure if it's the player... but the track feels like it's being played under a pillow. It all sounds like it's been processed by the same LP filter. In yet, it doesn't sound as bad as a reader may think - it's more like a lo-fi phat, really.

Doesn't really make me think of Genre's, it makes me think of some of the music from Batman Beyond for some reason (even though I'm not a fan of the series).

The bass is squelchy, and the drum loops are filtered nicely for appropriate effect. The reverberated "Secret Agent" drums near the one minute mark set a very nice vibe in the track that keep it sounding alien and action-filled as well.

There is some psy-goa trance at the end of the piece, but it abruptly ends after some noise licks.

1:30-ish, the melody isn't following key sometimes (yeah, I know this is suppost to be experimental). The goa melody is evil, but it was abrupt and didn't follow through on arrangment.

I really wish I could hear a better recording of this. Hard to judge outside of the musicianship.

Hey...

Interesting track... the beat is pretty wild and twisted!! Im not too fond of the kick, it could be slightly softer imo. Its weird when it changes to psy... very surprising. The production could be little bit better, now it sounds really harsh in a digital way. All of the effects were pretty cool...

Cheers, Lakeus

Four_On_Four-er: I know what u mean about the sound, I wanted it to sound lo-fi but only on the beginning, dont know what I did wrongwith the rest of it.. , maybe the program (Reason 2.5)?

Lakeus: I agree about the kick, and about the production quality, I hope to get better yes! I heard your track and tought the mix & mastering were very good! what programs do u use for mastering and effects, and what monitors do you recommend/ use?

Tahnks both for the reviews! unfortunately I cant change anything in this track, cause it was erased already, but its good to know opinions anyways

Hey,
commenting as I listen...

Nice beginning with weird sounds. I really dig this.
Really fat beat. Funky! I like what you did with all the drums. This track does never get boring at all. Weird melodies, great drum work and madness everywhere in this track. Now speedcore/psy? Awesome, didnt expect this at all ... funny way to end the track.

This one was really entertaining. I dont think I have anything important to criticize. I enjoyed listening. Keep it up!
