E-town, we're getting spoiled!!!

Well my signature contains Edmonton's upcoming events, but I just wanna say great job to every promoter in the city. Edmonton has tons of great shows coming up with the likes of Armin, Judge Jules with Markus Schulz, Above & Beyond, Christopher Lawrence, Smokin Jo and just announced... Eddie Halliwell!!! This is all before May Long Weekend. The addition of a new venue and willing owners and promoters to hold more electronic music events will only help this scene get better and better. I have no doubt that we will be getting more DJs on a regular basis after this period passes!

I'm not a hard house fan, but she is a staple in the UK dance scene and in Ibiza. She is one of the classic DJs of the past 10 years and because you never heard of her, doesn't mean a whole lot.

I always thought Smokin Jo played more vocal, disco'y house as opposed to hard house. Maybe she has changed over the years? In going with the promoters who are bringing her to Vancouver though, I would tend to think it'd definitely be more of the soulful groovy house variety.

Yes I know that, but she does play in Ibiza and not hardhouse, but she plays a lot of hard house in the UK or at least used to. She is a disco-ish house DJ with lots of vocals like Jussed said...

There is more and more hardhouse in Ibiza now, btw. The likes of Anne Savage, Vicky Devine, Lisa Lashes, not to mention a lot of the clubs in the West End. It just doesn't exist too much in the big clubs.

Yeesh, I was just saying that Edmonton is getting a lot of quality DJs and everyone gets stuck on Smoking Jo.

Just moved up to Jasper from MTL, and it looks like this is the edmonton master list...very cool...I'll be there for Halliwell no doubt...
