Kimball Collins - Generation Trance 2000

Trance wasn't yet a four-letter word...

I gave a listen to this the other day after a long while, and found it as awesome as ever. NRG-tinged trance at an apex, especially the incredible (and seemingly forgotten) Ron Hagen & Pascal M. - Take You There.

I sure wish there was some similar NRG/trance material today, with that flair of housey vocals and wicked riffs, rather than the clunky hard house it got mired in.

01 Jon The Dentist & Ollie Jaye - Imagination (K90 Remix)
02 The Generator - Where Are You Now (Moonman Remix)
03 Armin - Communication (Original Mix)
04 Ron Hagen & Pascal M. - Take You There (Original Mix)
05 Signum feat. Scott Mac - Coming On Strong (Bellow vs. Euphoriah)
06 Sunscreem - Exodus (Fire & Ice Remix)
07 Quadran feat. Tasha - Unlovable (M.I.K.E. Remix)
08 Stone Love - My Love Will Surround You (Future Mix)
09 Legend B - Lost In Love (DJ Taucher Remix)
10 The Def Set - Ogo (Digital Blonde's End Of An Era Mix)
11 Mea Culpa - The Child (Original Mix)

What happened to fire & ice? Or i should be asking what happened to pretty much every awesome trance producer from 99 - 2002?

well some are still in the buisness (The Digital Blonde, Signum, K90, Armin etc) but some quit or haven't done anything for ages (Jon The Dentist, Mea Culpa, Sunscreem etc).

fire & ice is l-vee (airwave, lolo, etc) who's obviously still prolific as ever, alongside dj fire, who had a solo release on progrez last year i think

last think they worked together on i think was samoa/para siempre in 2004, nothing on their old stuff tho

Fire & Ice won't be making any more tracks under that alias, ever.

I think he was on tour here in Hawaii back in 2001 for this CD...pretty awesome sets from what I can remember.

I forgot all about these tracks I had labled under his name, anyone know if they're really his productions or miss-lables? I'm guessing they're from a compilation he mixed...

Kimball Collins - Faithless
Kimball Collins - Face the Phase

Signum ft. Scott mac - coming on strong.. remember this tune rocking the scene back in 2000.. Kimbal Collins was one of the trance kigns in America back in the day next to George Acosta and Sandra Collins and DJ micro.. all in that circuit era.. good old days.
