Exclamation Donations for Mada's Camera Fund

Hi everyone!

As those of you taht were at this past friday's Purple Room know, Mada's camera was stolen, and not found. Unfortunately, this wonderful girl has been through some really rough times in the last little while, and this camera was the second one she has had stolen in 2 months (the first was stolen when her apartment was broken into). So, myself and Joanna (Jojo_K) have decided to start a camera fund to replace the one that was stolen. We have had some great response so far for donations, and would just like to say THANK YOU SO MUCH to those who have agreed to chip in. so far, we have an approx. $110 towards the fund, though the camera will cost around $220, an exact quote to be determined this weekend. If any of you would be willing to donate any amount to this fund, we would be so very APPRECIATIVE!!! If you are interested, please PM either myself or jojo with your interest and amount.

Again, thank you so much to everyone!!!

the camera was in it's case, behind the dj booth, on the dj table, tucked behind the case of cd's (ie. out of sight) we go back, the case is on the floor, the camera is missing....

is it possible it may have fallen into the wall crack back there? I know other stuff has gone missing back in there.
(you're most likely right that it was taken though)

ummm. i honest dont believe anyone on here would donate a penny towards this. your possession leaves your sight in a club for more than one minute, it will likely disappear.....

if anything, she will at least learn something from this.

Does it have to be a Casio that you trade in?

no...any brand

the way it works is, u buy from a new casio from an authorized dealer, then u send ur old camera with all its components in and they send u money for what they calculate its value as. theres an estimation calculator on the casio site...

check out www.casio.com for all the details

i understand that you are doing this out of the kindness of your hearts

BUT...

fuck! if i was this mada person, i'd be really pissed off at you for making me look like a charity case.
i can sympathize with her on this situation but like floorwhore said, its her own fault. if i lost my camera i sure as hell wouldnt be asking people for money so i can buy a new one. i would have to do without a camera for a while until i come up with my own money to buy another.

this sort of brings me back to that girl that started a website because she wanted breast implants and asked the whole world to donate money so she could get it done. if you dont have the money for it then they arent for you.
i bet lots of poor people in thie world would love a ferrari or lambourgini (or any other exotic) but i dont see them asking for donations.

just my 2cents.

casio is a worldwide reputed company. i dont think they would pull a scam.

+ i read on a messageboard a while back where someone actually tried it and DID get his money's worth.

whatever..if u dont trust it, dont bother then.
