Armin Review
OK kids, thoughts and opinion of last nights events
Well, im on the fence with last night, i think he could have played a bit different.
all in all, though, one hell of a night
winnipeg sure does produce some rocking crowds, i was impressed. he played some really good tunes, a few of my current fav tracks plus hearing communication at the end blew my mind.
seemed like he had a good time and with the support from the crowd hopefully winnipeg will get him back again sometime. shame about the circuit breaker going down. never seen that happen before, poor armins like "it wasnt me!!" haha
good to see they got it up and running again. my ears and throat really really hurt. but one hell of a fucking crazy night.
it seemed like Armin only played for 10 mins...lol....time flew by so fast lastnite.....
and the AM was kickin.......
now im at work.......hurtin.......oh well it was a good price to pay for the wild and zaney evening!

Awesome night. Awesome tunes. Massive crowd.

I swear every time he plays it looks like he has never been so happy to DJ.
Sound was a bit to loud and pounding at the beginning and way to hard on the ears to be anywhere near the front which was disappointing. After the "technial difficulties" it seemed the sound wasn't as loud - either that or I'm just a little bit more deaf..
i didnt expect that much but man he blew that roof off like crazy i did hear few tunes from him at home but i didnt like it that much but last night man he was pumping that room and as kitkat said he seemd so happy to spin there and crowd was just going insane
agreed...he never took the smile of his face the entire nite
i think he just took all the crowds energy and loved being there
.....the most fuun with ur clothes on!!!
armin always has a huge grin on his face, one of the great things about him. even when there's no crowd he looks very happy.
i have it all on video, i might post a couple teaser clips this weekend
pete played a decent set, mixing was dodgy at times.. my fav track he played was freeform five - no more conversation and the killer remix at the end was decent too.. too bad one of those cd decks fucked up
armin was awesome, he was interacting w/ the crowd the whole night, doing his usual hands in the air... 45 mins into his set, a fuse blows, that took about 5 mins to fix, even heard a couple people boo him in that time...wtf!
will write more later, back to bed...
oh, if somebody has some good high-res pics they wouldnt mind me using for the vid im making, let me know!
WOW...WOW...WOW
Defo, before you knew it the night was over!
was right at the front most of the time but then lost my spot when I had to go to the washroom
damn it
amazing track selection for the night in my opinion, after the technical difficulties, he came on even MORE banging after that! I just wish the Empire wasn't so narrow, but that isn't something you can change
And lets not forget about Petey bird! Awesome set buddy, minor difficulties yes, but you were banging it out something crazy!! LAST GHOST IN TOWN!!
Thanks for all the hardwork Stephen and Soundwave crew!!!!
Now lets get him back here!!
btw
Steve was like a happy little groupie knowing that Armin was using the charger that he supplied for his blackberry! Good job Stevo!!

Last night was freakin' wikkkkked!!!!!!!!
You're all right though, it did seem to go by SUPER fast!!!!
My body is aching everywhere today from dancing too much! But it was hard not to!!! Every time I thought that there would be a lull in the tunes he'd just back it up with another sick track and I was back up and dancing again!
Stephen, you rock.
Ugh...Now we have to go from Armin to Benni....Lol
I got my "Satisfaction" last night...
(i know, uber cheesey!)

Normally I'd like to be surprised as to what a DJ is going to play, but I wanna know... did he play Diving in the Sky or On Your Mind? My 2 current favos.
... Very Nice!
winnipeg got torn a new ass! ..
holy molly....
i was impress.... like.... woah...
i thought i started quite mello for what he plays...then that fused blowed.... AND THEN, he started... like... it was insane...i mean... like .... really.... oh and i liked the end so much with U2 and communication.... and i mean... woah....
AM after hour....i was there until 7am but i dont remember being there....
ALL in all.... wicked night... wicked crowd.... i night to remember when i finally start to get memories back....
damn i wish i had more access to the net so i can get some of his newer sets... i prolly have 1 of the biggest arcive of his older sets to wish i cant share either... maybe 9 gigs of his live sets plus his first 25 asots
massive collection... too bad ppl complain on here bout file sharing as well... its to every1s lose... but when i get online the right ppl will know where to find me...
he spun a different set then anything ive herd from him... it was amazing... i danced and danced... and was in pain after... but it was all worth it... i got home at 3 and had to wake up for 7 for my program... went around all day in a daze
there was also this really cute girl dancing in front of my that danced really nicely... i was thinking bout telling her she danced nicely, but im too shy... ah my shyness will be my demise...
itll be a night ill hold in my heart for the rest of my life

what a night
In my wildest dreams, I didn't expect the night to be that good! Armin was....there are no words that equal how good he was. I loved worming my way into the middle of the dancefloor and seeing everyone with big huge smiles on their faces dancing like crazy. I knew people liked trance....but I didn't know THAT MANY people liked it. All those hands in the air moments...sigh - it was incredible! YES his smile made me love it even more! I thought the crowd was equally as impressive as he was! We cheeered and clapped and danced for him like mad, it was impressive. I kept thinking "Winnipeg can handle this! We can handle Tiesto! We can handle anything! Bring the big names ON!
"
I loved his track selection up till the end, but I'm not a fan of remixed top 40 like that Police song or the U2 songs...
but I know lots of people are and you can't please everyone all the time so I'm A O K with that! He was everything i hoped for and more.
Oh and Bradley, take it from us girls...TELL THEM THEY DANCE GOOD! Everyone wants to hear that and would be happy to have a nice guy tell them so.
Leslie
"even heard a couple people boo him in that time...wtf!"
i doubt they were booing HIM...
killer party. way too packed in there, but thats to be expected. alucard tore it up, f64 and alphagroove did a nice job starting things off. great time beforehand at rizzo seeing all the ta's gettin riled up and ready to go. we should do that more often.
