-- On the extra 32 beats to intros
On the extra 32 beats to intros
Maybe I'm a little late with this but, darn it, it disturbs me.
This is, for all I know, some new thing for House producers. They add 32 beats to the intro (about 15 sec (?, not sure if I counted the beats right), meaning there's a (roughly) 1:15 sec intro before the break, which is the case in the listed tracks. I have yet noticed it in these tracks:
Inner City - Good Life (Steve Angello Mix)
Fuf Feat Meleny - Exceptional (Olav Basoski Remix)
Meck - Thunder in my Heart Again (Hott 22 Vocal Mix)
And I'm sure there is more to come too.
Why do they do this? :S It doesn't make any sense to me, at all.
Is this just for House though, and is this a new thing at all? (I don't know, it might as well be as old as Frankie Knuckles and JJ)
AND WHY?!?!?!
I don't see what the issue at hand would be? I mix regardless of what the intro lengths are, I just make sure I am aware of the length of the intro so I can adjust my transitions accordingly...
What is frustrating you exactly?
It's not more difficult to mix. You just have to be aware of it. My frustration (if you can call it that) is as to why? :S I don't see the point, and it's very unnessesary.
Probably so the DJ can have an extra phrase of beats to mix if he so chooses.
