cutting your own hair
how did it go and what tips can you give me? my hair is like shoulder length, i just wanna trim it up a bit
don't do it unless you know what you're doin. last time i tried just trimming my bangs and i cut them way too short... just go to Supercuts and pay the $11, it'll look better than if you try to do it yourself, especially considering your hair is pretty long.
but that's just my own personal opinion on cutting hair.

I cut my own hair when I was in 4th grade. I fucked it up so bad that the barber had to virtually give me a buzzcut to fix it. You can imagine how that went over to my classmates.

ive done it several times. matter of fact, i havnt gone to go get a haircut for months. i just use a electric trimmer. but ive messed it up several times, and have to just cut my hair really short. you learn by experience. but on the up-side, ive saved lots of money. 12$ for a haircut?? im not paying that!!

i just shaved mine and that is the only thing i would say do it yourself to. Everything else you can f-up!

I cut my own hair all the time. I refuse to let anyone touch it EVEN professionals. I am not licensed but I am experienced in cutting hair on guys and girls, dyes, relaxers, perms, I can pretty much od it all by myself.
I have had bad bad bad experiences and not just once. The damn hairdressers always get scissor happy on my hair. I tell them no more than 1 inch or just a trim and to them I guess that means take 3 inches off or they think I "really mean" I want it short.
Here are some tips. Comb your hair the way you would normally after washing it or spray it damp with a spray bottle. Comb small pieces of hair and taper the ends off with your fingers. Cut with scissors along the egdes of your fingers. You can cut straight across or at a slant if you want layers. Always cut a little less that you want it on the first go round just to be safe. You can always touch it up and even it out the next go round.
OR you can buy a flobee 
Its like a hair cutting vaccum LOL

Side note: In the last 4-5 years I think I've paid about �20 in hair cuts

lucid: ya ive been to a couple fancy salons here in orange county cus some of my friends work in em. the most ive paid for a haircut was 60 bucks and i walked out looking exactly the same as i did when i walked in. i was gonna go get it cut right now but when i got outta the shower it started raining and i only got shorts cus im house-sitting this week and all my pants are @ home 
allied nations: fuck yes girls love guys with long hair. its great for getting it pulled during sex. gives the girl something to hold on to while you bang her

If you can trim your own hair, then I admire your skills with the scisors! All I do is wait for it to get too long and then shave it off with a clipper.
